    With the 62nd overall pick, the Sox took Ryan Dent, a high school shortstop. He's got decent size at 6'0" and 190 pounds. He's said to have a good bat with the ability to spray hits everywhere but his true strength is his speed.     Theo wanted a guy with a bigger bat playing shortstop and he also felt O-Cab didn't have a high enough on base % so he went out and got Renteria. Obviously, he regrets that move now and I'm sure he wishes he kept Cabrera. I watched him for years here in Montreal before he went to Boston and he was always a pleasure to watch. Great guy, great player

    funny how Dice-K's season is sort of following the same path as Beckett's year last season. Good win-loss record, high ERA that's misleading due to bad innings being really bad while having plenty of good starts. All part of the transition to American league ball I guess
