  1. Bellhorn hasn't performed to his full potential, either, to say nothing of the entire friggin' bullpen, but ... hang in there and give Millar a chance to break out. The hype about him wanting out? All crap. Where would Millar go where he would be treated like an honorary club mascot? He doesn't want to be anywhere else but right where he is. I think the stress of the slump is really getting to him. And despite appearances, I don't think he's an overly confident player. He knows his limitations, he knows he probably has to try twice as hard to see mid-level results. And Francona can be accused of being loyal to a fault, but I'm a loyal kind of guy. I was living in Toronto when the Jays won the back-to-back series and it was so great to see the majority of the team stick together through those long summers. Averages go up and down, and guys have really crappy months, but in the end this is the exact Red Sox team that I want to see win the Series again ... I'm probably just a sentimental idiot, but so be it. Keep Millar. I've got to go drink some herbal tea, eat a quiche, and read some poetry now ...
  2. Gary. Put your money where your mouth is, pal ... wanna talk junk? I've got a hundred bones that says the Sox take the Yanks tonight by at least two runs. ProLine legal betting is a beautiful thing. He should be excused, tho, because Roids reak havoc on people's emotions, their mental stability, probably some incontinence and erectile dysfunction thrown in their, not to mention zits. I too have come around to A-Rod in the past year or so. Maybe spending time around a class act like Jeter has worn off his smug, billion-dollar tantrum B.S. One can only hope. And what's this about him being attractive? Yeah, he's probably the only Yankee who's not grotesquely ugly. I mean like butt-face, carbuncle, toejam ugly ...
  3. Boston has so many players that remind me of what genuine, classy baseball players were like twenty or thirty years ago. Johnny Damon is a true class act with a really dependable bat. I like his style. I also think Varitek is about as priceless a catcher as Carter or Piazza in their hey day. Mark Bellhorn has really struggled, but with that guy you just never give up. And of course Manny. Least likeable? Can't think of any Sox, so I'll say LaRussa.
