    Good thing im not in charge? Good thing your not in charge. Bellhorn has done nothing this year! Why would we give him another chance? He leads the league in strikeouts. Every other at bat he strikes out. He did the same thing last year, except you want to give him another chance because all you remember is his great playoff run. thats about all hes done. Ill give him one week when he comes back, if he continues to suck..he should see nothing but the bench.

    How about this proposed trade(just something that i made up) Red Sox Get: Todd Helton Eric Byrnes Rockies Get: Manny Ramirez Kevin Millar This would work well for manny since he would be going to a place that he could have his privacy and it works for the sox because we get a bat in return thats close to manny, someone who can play left, and someone to play first. I think it could work.

    Bellhorn should never see Fenway Park or any other baseball diamond again..he sucks!! It has been so relaxing watching the games without him striking out. Plus Tony g is better in the field anyway and Alex Cora is a step up from Bellhorn. I say..SEE YA LATER MARK!!

    Is Papelbon getting called up to the BoSox or AAA? Im confused by this quote at the top of the page. Prospect will pitch: The Red Sox will give highly-touted prospect Jon Papelbon the start for Thursday's game, and Francona is looking forward to seeing him pitch. "I've never seen this kid," said Francona. "I'm excited. This is worth getting on a bus for a couple of hours. I've heard a lot of really good things about him. He could get lit up tomorrow. That's not going to change the organization's view. But from what everybody says, this kid is gonna be pretty good, so it will be fun to watch him pitch." The 24-year-old Papelbon went 12-7 at Class A Sarasota last year, posting a 2.64 ERA in 24 starts. Whats this about?

    Burnett is going to be hard to get since the marlins are only 4 1/2 games out of the wild card and the division. They will most likely hang on to Burnett. Which puts us in a tough situation because who else is out there?

    Does anyone think that Manny Delcarmen was brought up as a showcase? I mean we have plenty of other pitchers, that are better than Delcarmen, in the minors.

    I hate to break it to you guys but it doesn't look like were getting AJ. Actually according to Peter Gammons it appears AJ is going nowhere. The marlins are just going to hold on to him since they are only 4 1/2 games out.

    Id rather have ryan howard, just for that simple fact that he is younger. Plus he shows alot of potential.

    How can u say that? He brought us a bunch of guys that without them, we would have never won a world series( Pedro Martinez, Manny Ramirez, to name a couple). We don't win a championship without them. Yes he did give up prospects but he definitely was not the worst GM in the history of baseball.

    I think that if Burnett came to Boston he would sign. He will like it here. Plus not only will he love working with Varitek, but that will also make him a better pitcher most likely. Look at Matt Clement. With Boston Burnett will want to sign and he will get better.

    There hasn't been any news of the three team deal on espn or any sports network. Plus there is nothing online on mlb.com or espn.com...im getting worried that this whole thing is just talk and nothing is going to happen

    Youk is young and hasn't been given a chance to prove himself. Mueller is old and will be gone after this year. you might as well get something for him while you can now.

    Are you serious? I know your in love with Bill Mueller..i like him too..but this deal makes soo much sense for the sox. It will make the WHOLE TEAM BETTER. Lowell will get better coming into this environment. Trust everyone thats saying it..because he will.

    Lets just make the deal and then worry about signing damon after the year. If damon really wants to stay here he'll take less money. Varitek did. SO if damon wants to be here he will take less money. If he doesn't then see ya later damon.

    Yes i agree completely. Lets make the trade!! Soon before anyone else can jump in..because i hear the White Sox are formulating a deal. We can't lose out on this deal to the freakin white sox!

    are u saying trade youk instead of mueller?..if you are...thats crazy! i know mueller is have a great year but im tired of everyone forgeting hes OLD and has bad knees. Yes hes doing fine now but he won't hold up that much longer, plus hes a free agent at the end of the year. Lets get something for him now instead of letting him walk. Youk is young and if given some serious time at third could develop into maybe a Shea Hillenbrand? I say trade mueller and keep youk.

    why would the sox want to keep an ageing Bill Mueller? Hes a free agent after this year and his knees aren't getting any better. If were going to trade any 3rd baseman it should be him..not youk. Youk is great defensively and has more power than mueller. Give him a chance at the everyday job and trade the ageing mueller..not youkilis.

    i say we make the three way trade for burnett...get J.C. Romero, burnett, and lowell. Then we can have youk play 3rd and either have lowell play 1st or trade him away for more bullpen help.

    Burnett deal is gonna fall through..Theo should jump in now because the Marlins will be so frustrated for wasting their time with the O's that they're gonna ready to take the next best deal that comes.
