  1. Boomah! Big K to get out of that jam.
  2. Cape, you rule. Due to your incredible generosity, I might get a peek at two of our best farmhands during this series.
  3. I'm certainly surprised a little, but not shocked. Cadillac has surpassed my expectations, but I thought him being added to the team would allow them to gain some ball control differential, which is what the D needed.
  4. Borderline calls go both ways in every ballgame played. Blaming the umps for a loss only accomplishes one thing. It proves that you are an idiot. Think before you speak or, in this case, type.
  5. The A's must have picked something up with advance scouting about Clement tipping his pitches, because they seem to know what is coming.
  6. Memo Date: 9/18/2005 Subject: Pitching To: Matt Clement From: RSN STOP SUCKING!
  7. No different than the proximity call on a DP. The throw beat him, and from the umps angle he couldn't see where the tag was made. Could have gone either way. Here, I think you could use one of these: http://www.cornelschneider.ch/images/Geige02.jpg It's the world's smallest violin, and.......you know the rest.
  8. Posada bails Lilly out when he was looking a little wild by taking too big of a secondary lead and getting caught on the snap-throw from Zaun. 1-0 Jays into the bottom of the 2nd.
  9. How do you figure? That was a stand up double. He walks the next guy on 5 pitches, then gives up a single. With 2-outs, Wells is going on contact and has good speed on the bases. He would have easily scored from 2nd. If you are thinking that Sierra should have caught it, well he was positioned there by the coaching staff.
  10. Lilly's hook is looking pretty good. 2 K's looking with it in the 1st.
  11. Lithium? Zoloft? I agree, he does seem to be pressing at times. On the other hand, some of his goofs seem almost Mannyesque, which can lead one to the conclusion of the head not being totally in the game.
  12. Sea Dogs lost game 4 and the series to the Akron Aeros last night, 4-1. Their season is completed.
  13. I was responding to this.
  14. Mack Brown can't coach, but he's not on the field to make the plays. He's like the Jim Boeheim of college football. Recruits so well it isn't funny, but can't steer the ship to the promised land (although Jimmy did win one championship on the back of Carmelo Anthony). Vince Young is a work in progress, but he has that special ability to make the play that needs to be made.
  15. Husker fan, right? I know backhanded compliments are the only thing people like to give to their conference foes, but the 'Horns are the real deal this year. Doubt they, or anyone else, will beat USC this year, but I wouldn't be shocked if they are at the Rose Bowl and making a game of it. Now, what's really impressive is back-to-back 45-0 drubbings of their opponents by the VT Hokies. That's right, I root for castrated turkeys.
  16. That was rather impressive.
  17. Strike 2 was piped. How do you look at that pitch?
  18. He could have, but Tito's main flaw in my opinion is veteranitis. He loves veterans over younger players regardless of talent. Plus Timlin is the closer. On cue, 1 down swinging.
  19. C'mon Trot. EDIT: I mean Youk.
  20. Renteria. Short pier. Long walk. JD starts it off right (wasn't pretty, but it'll do).
  21. GAS I love that late movement on Pap's heater. And his 2nd pitch, the splitter, is getting better with each appearance.
  22. Yeah, I'm working on that. We've been lucky in one regard. The bats got cold right about the time the rotation started giving us a bunch of quality starts. If the slump happened a little earlier, we'd have lost a few more games.
  23. Yeah, he's warming in the 'pen.....Cora giveth with the webgem, Cora taketh away with the GIDP. Haren's a good pitcher, but 2 runs is an anemic effort, AGAIN.
