  1. Red, the Pats aren't my team, so "you" doesn't fit with me. If the Chargers lost because they didn't play up to their standard, why didn't the Patriots lose for the same reason when the same thing occured a year ago? Oh that's right, your team was on the winning end then. And then, combine that with the level of vitriol you display for everthing Patriot, and it's not all that surprising. Trust me, this is coming from someone with no emotional stake one way or the other. I don't like or dislike any of the teams in question. Hell, if I had bias any way it would be toward the Broncos because my aunt and uncle live out there. You are consistently bitter when things are going well for the Patriots.
  2. They've looked fallable the last two weeks, but you never know when they are going to come out clicking, which is always a possibility. I think they can make a game of it with either team in tomorrow's game.
  3. That should just about ice it. Kudos to the Indy defense. They won this game. EDIT: Oh yeah, and Vinatieri. That guy is nails.
  4. Unbelievable snag by Heap. Maybe that will give them a little boost.
  5. Comparing the Abreu/Lidle trade to acquiring a marquee young player is apples and oranges. That was a pure salary dump. Sure, they'll be able to put a decent package together with the kids they acquired this year, but they'll come up short if one of the systems deep with position talent are interested.
  6. Wow. That was a gimmie 6. Peyton was amped up on that throw. Maybe he should switch to.....D-CAF!...D-CAF!
  7. I think the Colts are going to finish off one of these drives, and I don't like the Ravens down by a couple of scores in the second half. The only quick strike thing on their team is the defense, but it's usually when teams are down and have to be aggressive.
  8. That should end up being a turnover. Horrible start for the Ravens.
  9. DE-CAF!! vs Defense in 5 mins. I love the playoffs.
  10. I don't think worries about utilizing Crisp in the running game should hold much weight because the Sox don't run much anyway. If Crisp is showing signs of getting his stroke back, and he can show a little more patience than he did last year, then he'd be the guy I'd go with. If he's repeating last year, they have to go with Youk for his OBP skills. The best way to score runs is to have people on base for the sluggers.
  11. That doesn't mean they filled the park as they only sold 82.9% of their capacity. Oh, and the attendance figures are tickets sold, not people through the gate. On topic, this makes little sense. So a bleacher seat used to cost $6, and it will now cost $40 for all you can eat hot dogs? That's $34 for a Dodger Dog buffet. Who the f*** wants that?
  12. Tampa would be insane to pass on Joe Thomas if he makes it to the 4th pick.
  13. Vitals from soxprospects.com.... Age: 21 Born: June 14, 1985 Moreno Valley, CA Height: 6-3 Weight: 240 Bats: Left Throws: Right Drafted: 25th round, 2004 How Acquired: Draft College: Arizona Western JC High School: Moreno Valley (CA)
  14. My nomination for Jacko's avatar.... http://www.stonewallvets.org/images/parade_34/yankees201.jpg
  15. Not that I like Clement, but you couldn't be more dead wrong in an analysis of his stuff Jacko. He's got excellent movement on his FB and good offspeed pitches, which lends well to being able to pitch with a lack of velocity. Command and control are another issue, but his success won't be married to his power.
  16. His batted ball types held up road vs. home, but hit GB/FB out ratio was better by almost 1. I'd agree that it was just typical Home vs. Road performance if were just the ERA, but the out ratios are a big red flag. You can ignore them all you want, but I think I've looked at this as objectively as I can.
  17. Yeah, I remember early last football season ESPN televised one of his HS football games.
  18. Did you catch him when he wasn't the goal line super-sub this year? Kids got it all. Cannon arm. Runs like a FB. He's going to be a stud as a starter.
  19. Tebowned!
  20. No, you don't understand. Put your pinstriped glasses on, and you'll see it clearly.
