Today in History:
Albert Einstein releases the Theory of Special Relativity. Of note in the theory are time dilation, length contraction, and the ever important mass/energy transformation, E=mc^2. As something approaches the speed of light, c, time slows down. Even biological clocks, like aging. This was proven when the US Air Force took two atomic clocks on two different planes traveling in opposite directions, one with the other against the Earth's rotation. The clocks, utilizing Cesium oscillation frequencies to track time, recorded different time spans for the event.
As we all know, the Dice-man has a sneaky fast FB. This has to be due to time dilation. We measure it in our time, but it is going much faster than we think, in fact it is experiencing less time, which throws the hitter off.
