  1. Yep, headquarters are in Bethesda. I cut my teeth working for the the concrete construction division in that area. Outside of the mid-Atlantic we only do GC work with no construction divisions.
  2. I see your equipment in use regularly. I work in construction project management for Clark Construction.
  3. Moose kaka?
  4. Heavy construction? What do you do?
  5. I've heard it opined elsewhere, and this makes some sense, that they want to keep Muphy in CF at AAA in order to showcase him for a future trade. The caveat being, that in order for this to pan out Murphy needs to perform, which hasn't been the case thus far.
  6. You're right. I had it mixed up. He still shouldn't even get consideration until mid-June or later. And, I disagree with the opinion that he should stay down all year no matter what. If there's a need and he's throwing strong with improved command, then he should be the first guy up (after Hansack).
  7. I think Lester is making 4 more starts in Greenville, so that takes him up to the first week in May. Then he'll be in AAA for at least a month. Mid-June feels like the right timeframe provided he's performing. If he shows a need for more work, then he should stay down there all season if Hansack takes the 5th spot and runs with it. Maybe a spot start or two if there's a double-header or injury.
  8. Easy Jack. That IQ dig doesn't line up with your, and Gom's, stated reasons for being here. According to you guys, you like this site better because you find the majority of Yankee fans idiotic. Now, I don't necessarily buy that as the real reason, but it's what you've put out there. EDIT: Apology accepted.
  9. Monday is against the Angels, so Tavarez will face them. And, Hansack pitched yesterday, so it does line them up.
  10. They really ought to skip him after the rainout.
  11. Hughes and Betances received similar levels of attention after being drafted within the baseball community, and that is where I go for baseball news, so perhaps my perception is different because I could care less about mainstream media. And, your big-tall pitcher parallel between Betances and RJ is probably much less likely than the fact that Betances is a local boy and got attention for that, a la MDC.
  12. If you can find where I say that, then you read between the lines in the strangest way I've ever seen. I thought guys didn't get hyped right out of the draft, like Hughes wasn't according to you?
  13. Oh can it, Jack. Touting his brilliance? Without having seen him pitch you've been "touting" Betances. Be real. You read the scouting services and eat up every complimentary opinion about a guy the Yanks drafted. There's nothing wrong with that, but let's be honest here.
  14. J-Roll is getting his tonight.
  15. I haven't seen him, so I can't dispute your opinion. That said, I'm not sure we agree as much as you might think. I don't think the Yankees can get a top-5 pitcher in return. So, given his success thus far, I think the best bet is see what he becomes. Either that, or if ARod goes this offseason, put together a mega-package for Miguel Cabrera.
  16. It hasn't been called yet, but it will be.
  17. Hughes. You touted Hughes as having five pitches to Gom.
  18. Five pitch arsenal? The crack must be strong today. Latest reports I've read tout his change as a work in progress, and he hasn't touched the slider in a couple of years now. He's a FB/curve pitcher right now, just like JB.
  19. Why would you want him at any other position than 3B? That is the one highest on the defensive spectrum, so it's where his offensive value is maximized.
  20. Miguel Cabrera is going to enter Pujols territory this year. Maybe even better. He'll get the next ARod-like contract when he's an FA.
  21. Regardless of the results, if he can do this, he's special.
  22. In play, run(s)
  23. Farnsworthless.
