  1. Garland was not in the 5 range. That said, the point about peripherals is both correct and funny. Correct for the obvious reasons. Funny because you argued the opposite for so long about CMW. I don't know if you've learned from your ignorance of the past, or is this is your usual flip-flopping, but I'll remember you said this moving forward when the next low-K guy comes up from your farm system.
  2. I'm not sensitive, but I have a low tolerance for ********. You are trolling by posting that arbitrarily with no discussion included with it, and you don't have enough sack to admit it.
  3. Read the url again, and tell me what the site's purpose is. Don't BS. It's blatant. When you post something like that, there's really only one intent. Allow your sack to drop and own up to your behavior.
  4. There was a point, and it was to troll.
  5. Trolling.
  6. We know, you'd expect big things from homeless people if they were wearing pinstripes.
  7. This is a good move for the Yankees. They gave up a 4th OF and a little potential for a starter that is a good bet to throw 200 league average or better innings. It's probably not as good as some of the Yankee fans are suggesting here. He's had some issues with the long ball in the past, and he's moving into a home park that plays like a video game on the beginner setting. But, considering what they gave up and the current makeup of the team (GFIN), this works for them.
  8. I've come to expect the worst when it comes to my luck. Good luck to you too.
  9. Did Jacko just suggest the Yankees would be receiving money to take a player? Wha-wha-what?
  10. Nothing personal, but since you've been here for all of 19 seconds, it might help to know that there have been several posters who have ignored the stats and boisterously posted about their hate of Drew because he isn't a dirt dog.
  11. No, the demands of putting together a good team aren't enough. The players not only need to be able to perform, but they have to make everyone happy in the pants too. Theo's a pussy for neglecting this all too often overlooked characteristic of roster construction.
  12. He better be able to afford it.......HE'S OVERPAID!
  13. Not enough pine tar on the helmet, I guess.
  14. Yet you keep making bringing up his "career average" when it suits your point.
  15. This latest bit is TL/DR. What peripherals are ugly?
  16. Uh, no. OPS+ adjusts for park.
  17. If we are going to look at things with the clear vision of hindsight, there were a few other, bigger, things that went wrong in 2006 to preclude them from making the postseason. Specifically, Beckett thinking he could throw his fastball at all times and get away with it, Schilling being hurt, and the swath of injuries to the starting 9 (Crisp, Ortiz, Manny, Varitek, Nixon). Having Arroyo back doesn't change that, IMO. I'd say 2007 went fine without him. I'm skeptical he makes the team in 2008. So, they spent his value on someone who didn't pan out. It happens. They've wasted suitcases of money on Lugo and Lowell (the extension). It happens.
  18. http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/81473801.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF1934B869679A269F9CC22EF9FD9253C14BA26FD13ED7B73D4BC I could easily see an "I" and an "M" flanking that "B" on his pullover.
