  1. Most of Connecticut is good, it's just the parts around the major cities. Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Waterbury, and to a lesser extent New London. Then there are just s***** individual cities, like Bristol and Willimantic. I'd say it's about 70-30 in favor of nice.
  2. Oh, he's from Bristol? Uh.. You may need to slightly alter your definition of "nice area in Connecticut". Just because ESPN is there doesn't mean it isn't a pit. Look at New Haven, they have Yale, and the rest of the city is awful. But yeah, I know what you meant, that he didn't grow up in Detroit or the slums of Philly or NYC or basically anywhere in the South, but he clearly still fell in with that sort of crowd.
  3. Kazmir through 6 versus the Orioles.
  4. Yeah, people from affluent and picturesque areas of Connecticut never shoot other people!
  5. I've used "candy-ass" with at least one girlfriend, but the conversation ended prematurely after we were kicked out of the candy store for lewd conduct.
  6. What a tool. I didn't think anything could top "taking a cell phone picture in a mirror while smirking" for sheer college-kid douchiness, but apparently I was incorrect.
  7. All of you are about as sharp as a nerf football.
  8. The evidence is seriously pointing towards murder, that's for sure.
  9. Call me Heather Mills, because I admit I'm stumped at that last one.
  10. Is there anyone else in baseball who could be added to that rotation? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.
  11. Toronto's rotation now includes Dickey, Johnson, and Wang. I find that mildly amusing.
  12. But on the off chance he is acquitted, then they let him go for something that he had nothing to do with.
  13. Oh, I agree with that too. The Patriots have every right to let him go for PR reasons, but he is innocent until proven guilty.

  15. Lackey strikes out the side in the first, around two hits and a run. Eh.
  16. I have to agree with him. Granted, most of the preliminary evidence seems to be pointing towards guilt. Maybe not murder, but at least involvement in murder, whether through destruction of evidence or obstruction of the investigation. However, until it is over there is always the chance that he will turn out to be innocent of wrongdoing. I do understand why the Patriots released him, as they don't want anyone who is even tangentially involved with a case like this on their team, and they have every right to do so if they want to, but yankees228 is correct in saying that it implies that the Patriots have assumed some sort of guilt, which goes against the Constution and established law.
  17. Fitting that Hernandez' last act as a Patriot was to destroy surveillance footage. I wonder where he learned that from?
  18. Making this thread now, since I'll be working from 11:30-9:30 tomorrow. Just win. I deserve a ten-gamethread streak, goddamnit.
  19. Ah, so even if he somehow manages to keep up this pace, he probably won't qualify before he starts to dip below .400.
  20. How many more at-bats does he need to qualify for the batting title?
  21. Why does anyone ever think that that is a good idea?
