  1. Sorry people....there is no curse of A-rod. Better lock this one.
  2. What makes me sick is seeing all their "cut & pastes" of player photos on the board. I really do think they live in a Bay City Roller Society! hahaha Hate Em! :harhar:
  3. How long have you been a fan John?
  4. A-Rod in Seattle...team sucks A-Rod leaves...Seattle good team. A-Rod in Texas...team sucks A-Rod Leaves...Texas good team. Yankees...good team A-Rod arrives...Yankees SUCK!!!!!! hahahaha....The Curse of A-Rod is in "full effect." Oh!!! HOW about that lucky number you wear as well #13 Remember Ralph Branca, a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers, who wore no. 13? He would become famous in the 1951 playoffs for surrendering Bobby Thomson's "shot heard round the world" home run, one of the most famous home runs of all-time. Looks like you guys have some history in common.
  5. She needs top SHUT HER MOUTH! She is the Biggest Red Sox hater on t.v. Her comments after game 3 of the ALCS where pathetic! I hope her and Kennedy have a kid, and call him Chucky!
  6. How come when I talk about music I get LOCKED OUT! You must be special.
  7. "The last five days have been a living hell for me." No kidding? Well add a few innings, a pitch from Wakefield, a swing from Boone, some salt on that wound, a little Pedro Jr. in year 2030 saying, "The Yankees are my Caddy" as he wins the Masters! At least in golf the gallery will have to shut their mouths like you Yankee creaps (And I really can't stand You) will have to do ALL WINTER LONG!!
  8. "balls to the walls"....are you refering to Accept? Udo!!!! German Monsters of Rock.
  9. Just got word that Ortiz will play first base at Busch Stadium. Games 3 & 5 for sure.
  10. I dissagree with the last post. I believe Jeter would have said he was "On Fire," or that he was "In the Zone." You know it ...I know it.....bunch of Yankee usual crap.
  11. Did anyone catch the quick t.v. shot of Billy sitting there at yankee Stadium suck'n on his forarm like a baby after the Greatest Come Back in Sports History?
  12. No t.v.? Damn ...that was my problem in 1970. I first saw my boys in the "75" series at a friends house in color.
  13. You have to play Varitek in this situation, even though he may not be the best knuckle ball catcher. If Francona decides on Mirabelli, I'm saying there's gonna be BLOWS between Jason and the coach. Variteks .275 BA & .525 SLG% in the playoffs, is enough reason to keep him in. How bought my bot Ortiz with a .810 SLG % Damn Brotha!
  14. Ted could be the team director of music for Boston and their drive past New York and onto the World Series. Dog Dog...Dog eat Dog (Sox v. Yanks rivalry) It's a Free For All (Finding the right pitching senarios) Yank Me Crank Me (Go up 3-0...Go down 0-4) StormTroopers (Sox drive for 4 straight) Stranglehold (game 7 with D-Lowe) Tight Spots (down 3-0) Just What The Doctor Ordered (Ortiz back to back game winning hits) Paralyzed (Joe Torre in the dugout) State of Shock (Yankee Fans) Cat Scratch Fever (Drunk Boston men and women celebrating the win) Put Up Or Shut Up (Schilling in game 6) Gonzo (Red Sox Nation)
  15. Two of the most humble guys I have ever seen. Last nights interview with Fox after receiving the MVP, my boy spoke highly of Damon and how he contributed to the team. Not once did he refernce to himself about how great he is, or how many homeruns he hit. Just like Barry in his acceptance speak for the Hall of Fame...Barry didn't talk about any records or MVP trophies. Ortiz is a class act. Loyal to a cause...and his teammates.
  16. I'm impressed. Terrible Ted and Millar do have the same vocal/mouth movement. Millar would look impressive with Ted's hair, camo, and bow.
  17. We will all start chanting this after Stienbrenner pays for a new babbysitter. 2004-1918 = Worst Choke In Sports History!!!! Yank me crank me...but don't wake up to thank me!! "Ted Nugent" GO SOX!!!
  18. hahaha!! I like it! Pay-Rod got what was comin folks...a big paycheck to pay for that vacation in the Keys. He can sit back and take as many Karate lessons as needed, learn how to run to first ans stay in the baseline, as well as Improvisation course to look more believable, rather than call time out on second base and look stupid as hell.
  19. Buck should have said.... "Embree looks in...who gets the sign from Varitek...who hides the sign from Sierra...who is full of steroids...who got em from Sheffield...who got em from Bonds...who hit 700 this year...who will have an astericks next to his name in the record book... who is next to Babe Ruth...whose curse is now slowly being lifted...WHO AH!!! RED SOX WIN THE PENNANT!!!
  20. It's not what Jeter says, it's his Theatrics.
  21. If you want defense...Mientkiewicz is a stud. I really can't stand Millar at times with is "pop-up" swing. At least Doug is level. As for my boy Ortees He is on fire right now, and I believe Terry might go with him just for the bat. The benefit is, we have the first 2 at home, and hopefully get out of the gate well. Terry will have to look at the defense in the NL park, and see which Stadium we will be playing in. Hell..Minutemade Park is a small as a Little League Park. Which may inturn have an effect on the first base senario. Go Sox!
  22. I respect a Cabrerra who just wants to play the game with skill and opportunity, rather than a guy who sucks all the attention out of the media for selfish rewards. Respect doesn't come with Championships. I hope he learns that. Go Sox!
  23. Is there anyone in the Bigs that acts more "pathetic" than that guy? Pumping the fist on easy base running assignments. First one out of the dugout on a homerun. Jumping for line drives that are 2 feet off the ground. Asking for time at the plate when he's already been in the box for over a minute. Trys to get the pitching staff pumped up from the dugout, even though he's hiding in embarassment. Looks for television cameras in the dugout, to show his emotions. Hugs Gay-Rod when he crosses the plate. please add to my list!
  24. We probably need to look at the rotation and see if our opponents are lefties or righties and adjust. I don't think Francona will care much, as long as he has the best possible percentage going for him v.s. each pitcher. I actually hope Clemens makes it, so we can shell him.
  25. I'm not a big D-Lowe fan, and never really like him out of the bullpin... but I must say he was fool'n the hell out of the Spankees last night. I question Francona on the Pedro "pump-up" but then again...I've been questioning management since '75.' Look for our apponents to go after the first pitch in the Series.
