  1. We'll see about that...only time will tell. I hope you get to watch all of the games, especially tonights. P.S. Your a Tool. And your post...
  2. Damn...that is horrible. The guys and i will keep you in mind and root extra hard for this occasion. We'll all be drinking so i already know the rooting will get a little out of hand. But more importantly good luck on the exams tomorrow. Are you already taking mid-terms? And i'd try to keep a radio on or something...if you can.
  3. Any news on any other contests or "forum hunts" (I really liked that idea) for the future?
  4. In regards to pitching i can understand that...sort of. But overall i can't say that the Yankees are the worst team left. The worst team IMO is in the NL. Pick one of them and they are it. They are both good teams, obviously, but in comparison to the two AL teams i dont think they really stack up. I'm picking Houston to win the NLDS because if there is a team out there that can take care of the Cards in the 'Stros. Plus i dont like the idea of making it to the WS because we beat the worst team left in the LCS. But we will have made it there regardless...soo...whatever, bring the MFY ON!
  5. Man, I am soooooo pumped up for this game. It's alot different than the way i felt last year. Last year it was always stomach pains and anxiety. I was nervous/scared/depressed/anxious to play against the MFY. This year i am only one thing...confident. No stomach pains or anything just confidence. Right now i feel we are a massive steam-roller just about to roll through NY on our way to Houston or St. Louis. Its not going to be easy but we can and will do this. Confidence and pitching wins games.
  6. I'm there with you...only one more hour till boss man leaves then 6 and 1/2 hours till the silence sweeps across NY. Curt is the man for this one. Let's do this.
  7. Anyone here going to be in Allston tonight for the game? Me and a couple of friends of mine are going to go over to White Horse Tavern if anyone is interested. We're going to be there at about 7:30.
  8. Thats funny...Hanukkah here already? Sorry...I need sleep.
  9. This is the best news yet! I'm so glad they decided to go with Mendoza. His stats speak for themselves. I wish Youk was still on the roster though. It would be nice to have another solid glove over at third just in case. And he has a better bat than Pokey. It begins tomorrow...
  10. Here is some more fuel to add to the fire.
  11. Wonder what our bullpen is going to shape up to look like next year (after trades etc...)? If we have a healthy dominating pen i would want Wake to start and have Bronson in the pen. Or have them split the game pitching every fourth game.
  12. Mike Mussina - had three regular season starts against us: Apr.17 - 5 IP/7 H/4 R/3 ER/1 HR/4BB/2 K/99 P/L(5-2) Sep. 19 - 7 IP/1 R/1 ER/0 HR/2 BB/8 K/117 P/W(11-1) Sep. 24 - 6 IP/5 H/3 R/3 ER/2 HR/3 BB/6 K/103P/ND(6-4) - MFY won Career post-season vs. Bos: 3 G/4.11 ERA/0-2 REC/15.3 IP/16 H/7 ER/4 BB/17 K Career post-season in ALCS: 7 G/3.07 ERA/1-3 REC/44 IP/32 H/15 ER/11 BB/51 K
  13. If he's pitching well i say give to Mendoza to finish it off. Then if he runs into trouble (or tie game situation, extra-innings etc.) give the ball to Foulke. Then you still have Timlin, Meyers, Lowe and Embry in the pen. It looks good. It also depends on how much they pitch in the previous games.
  14. Scott Ridge(4:53) - Joe Torre doesn't expect to have Rivera for Game 1. Got this from the SOSH forum. That has to be good news. I know it wasn't sure if he was going to comeback (with cashman saying he was then other sources saying otherwise). Here it is from Torres mouth. Sad news though.
  15. When is the roster due? Tonight or tomorrow at like 10?
  16. I agree on that. But it depends on how long Wake goes for. Because at the FIRST sign of trouble i would take him out. If he can go 6 innings that would be great. I would then give the ball to Mendoza and then Foulke. But if he only goes 3 or 4 i gotta put Bronson in (he should be ready for this...it is HIS turn in the rotation).
  17. He got the win in that game (his first of the year). This was his line: 2.0 IP/0 H/0 R/0 ER/0 HR/0 BB/1 K/18 P
  18. Which Curse Was Worse was the funniest thing ever. While being the biggest waste of time, i think it managed to further cash in on and pump up on ban-wagon fans on both teams. Have all those fans eat up all that garbage and pass it on through their daily lives. I blame that show for both teams loosing in the LCS last year. Passing that curse BS everywhere; as im sure you remember. Curse talk was the only language spoken during the LCS. F'n fan-boy BS!
  19. It would be great looking at a Pedro Martinez, Curt Shilling, Carl Pavano, Bronson Arroyo, Tim Wakefield rotation for next year. With Varitek behind the plate. But then what do you do when playoffs come? Send Bronson to the pen? We'll figure that out next year i suppose.
  20. I was wondering when that happened. I couldn't for the life of me remember. That was a long ass time ago. Yeszir, i definantly agree that he has no need to complain about lack of run support. Especially with these last two record-breaking offensive seasons.
  21. Thats all it is...an excuse. Its an excuse from merchandise all the way to us loosing to the MFY. I think this team could care less about all the BS and so do i. The excuse stops now.
  22. Sign Pedro...sign Varitek...release Lowe...pick up Pavano or the likes of.
  23. Everyone gave SoxNat04 such a hard time on the first ever post...its kinda funny in a sad way. They haven't posted since then. Maybe the job has been handled.

  25. My lineup for tomorrow nights game... J.D. - hitting .240 with 18 hits 1 hr and 9 rbi's M.B. - hitting .333 with 1 hr M.R. - hitting .203 with 15 hits 5 hr and 13 rbi's K.M. - hitting .348 with 8 hits 1 hr and 3 rbi's D.O. - hitting .069 with 1 rbi T.N - hitting .193 with 11 hits 1 hr and 4 rbi's O.C. - hitting .200 with 1 2B J.V. - hitting .091 with 4 hits B.M. - hitting .000 with 0 hits David Ortiz, Jason Varitek, Bill Mueller and Pokey Reese have struggled significantly against Mike Mussina this year. Combined they are batting .058 with 90 AB/39 K/2 RBI/6 H/0 HR. So they will need to turn this around in order to beat Mussina. And they will...
