Disappointing, should have gotten to Liriano when they had the chance.

I'm not trying to draw any comparisons between the Yankees in 2004 and the Bruins in 2010. However, on a separate note, when you look at the 2004 Red Sox's pitching staff against the 2004 Yankees' pitching staff, not only weren't the Yankees considered the favorites, they probably should have been considered the underdogs (and they were by me at the time). This doesn't make the loss sting any less, and that's not what I'm trying to do. It's merely a fact.

Both managers were horrific last night. I actually think Gardenhire's worst move was letting Baker back out for the 7th inning. He had looked really bad for the last few inning, but I guess Gardenhire was influenced by the fact that he looked good against Randy Winn, Marcus Thames, and Juan Miranda. For whatever reason, that was pretty bad. On the other side of things, Girardi pitching to Morneau, with Joba ready in the bullpen to face Cuddyer, and first base open, was awful.

Girardi did everything he could not to use Rivera, and it's no coincidence that he went all that time without pitching. Again, I'm not saying the Yankees are worse off than anyone else. All I'm saying is that they've been bit by the injury bug lately. It's a fact, and it hardly calls for a debate.

The Yankees are in some serious trouble if this is serious. The injuries have really ambushed the Yankees this year.

CC's April struggles might be just coming a bit late this year. He hasn't been particularly sharp in four of his last five starts, and in the other one, he only struck out two guys, and benefitted from facing a poor hitting team.

Fantastic, some of the hitters do a great job working Verlander's PC, considering his shotty control thus far, and now everyone is hacking at the first pitch.

Verlander's command today really isn't particularly sharp, and the Yankees' hitters have really been helping in out.

Listening to Kay and Singleton talk about how Jack Morris and his slightly above average career ERA should be a HOF lock, based on purely anecdotal evidence, is painful.

I'd wait a bit before proclaiming that the 2007 version of Joba is back. Now, his last two outings are very promising, but, in my opinion, those are his only outings this year that have looked like his 2007 outings.

What is so ridiculous about what Jacko said? He's right, win or lose, yesterday was a good day for the Yankees because Vazquez finally put together a good start. Not only is there nothing wrong with Jacko's statement, but it's 100% accurate.
