  1. its supposed to rain on friday, that is all we can hope for so pedro can pitch game 6 (if necessary) and arroyo can go in game 7 (also if necessary) LETS SWEEP THIS WEEKEND SOX! Fridays Weather @ First Pitch Showers Temp: 59°F Probability of Precip: 75% Wind: From the South Southeast at 13 mph
  2. it wont be as dramatic as last year if their is a fight..but it is quite possible that there will be one since the red sox need a big boost
  3. what players will they resign? 1.) tek- great leader! 2.) petey...so he doesnt go to stanks and is a vital part of the staff 3.) lowe- if he pitches good in game 5 these are just a couple list some more! what free agents will theo work his magic on?!?!! i dont know many so give me some ideas!
  4. lets get to game 5 first by tying the series up at 2-2....definetely not out of the question?
  5. has anyone ruled out the bosox and lost the faith...NOT ME! this series is far from over...we're goin back to the FEN! heres a few questions: -how will lowe do in game 5? -predictions for game 3 and 4? -will the red sox win the series? - do you think the grounds crew at fenway keep the dirt in front of the plate and the infield DRY so balls take crazy bounces against the ground ball pitcher, Kevin Brown? -do you know if it will rain this weekend in boston? -will kevin brown punch another wall? - will the fenway faithful be that into the game tommorrow? - Who Will Win The Series? KEEP THE FAITH NATION, GO SOX! ITS NOT OVER YET!
  6. how effective do you think he will be in game 5 [if he pitches]?!?!
  7. u dont see cabrera staying? why not?
  8. i predict the sox will come out firing also predicting a red sox win! ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH!
  9. WTF?
  10. MLB.com says the first pitch is @ 8 pm!
  11. R U SERIOUS??!?! he pitched great against the angels, he lives for this (playoffs) and he WILL be back!
  12. scratch that...sierra homerun....5-5
  13. 5-1 twins looks like a game 5 in NY
  14. I would rather play the MFY b/c i want to beat their asses on the way to the WORLD SERIES, but i do want the series to go to 5 games! If it does go to 5 games (and the yankees win) who would pitch game 1....lieber?
  15. i agree that this is HUUUUGEEE game for the sox for 2 reasons: 1.) they get some rest before the ALCS 2.) most importantly, schilling has only pitched 1 game thus far which means that in the ALCS he would pitch games 1,4, and 7 (if necessary) and that would be crucial. But, hypothetically speaking, if the sox lose tonight does schills take the mound tomm? GO SOX!
  16. arroyo is so hot right now im predicting the sweep, red sox win 7-4!
  17. so everyone, like me, thinks Pedro will be back to his regular form??? God I hope so!
  18. DUH, i tried that already smart ass, didn't find it! some mets fan told me it, check it out : http://www.drunkfriends.org/xfiles/yankssuck1.swf really funny! GO SOX!
  19. we need to at least take 1 out of 2 at anaheim then we're golden when we come back to fenway!
  20. Who has the best chance to win the world series: 1.) Boston Red Sox - not being bias, but they have the strongest lineup top to bottom and the best starting pitching in the playoffs. The Red Sox led the majors in runs by a wide margin, plating 53 more runs than the second-place Yankees . 2.) St. Louis Cardinals- solid lineup, But St. Louis lagged at the finish, losing five of its last seven and three straight to Houston, amid mounting questions about its starting pitching 3.) New York Yankees- what is Gay-Rod, Vazquez and other new Yankees going to do against the pressure of being a Yankee in October? The Yankees have the worst starting pitching of any team since Joe Torre took over as manager in 1996, a significant deficit, questioning Orlando Hernandez's "tired arm." 4.) Houston Astros- The Astros have the best tandem of starters in the NL, in Roger Clemens and Roy Oswalt, and the best closer in Brad Lidge. They won the division with the likes of Brandon Backe, Chad Qualls, Pete Munro and Chad Harville, and they need to get more from their ranks of the pitchers unproven in the postseason. Setup man Dan Miceli, who does have postseason experience, will play a critical role. 5.) Minnesota Twins- how can you go against Johan Santana? 6.) Anaheim Angels- possibly the best bullpen in the playoffs? better beat Anaheim in the first 16 or 17 outs of the game, because after that, the Angels have K-Rod and Brendan Donnelly (who is throwing well again) and Troy Percival. The Angels are going to run. They're going to try to steal bases, hit-and-run, go first-to-third on a single, score from first base on doubles. They led the AL in stolen bases, they made a lot of contact, finishing next-to-last in the league in strikeouts -- and they had more runners thrown out on the bases than any other AL team. This is who they are, this is what they do. 7.)LA Dodgers- Besides Adrian Beltre, the Dodgers have a very left-handed roster, with Steve Finley, Shawn Green, Alex Cora, Brent Mayne, Hee Seop Choi and Robin Ventura; even switch-hitting shortstop Cesar Izturis is much better as a left-handed hitter. And King and Kline are probably the two best matchup left-handed relievers in the playoffs, stifling lefty hitters in the late innings. 8.)Atlanta Braves- always win the division...but don't do to well in the playoffs
  21. anyone have a pic of jeff garcia's girlfriend?
  22. you really think pedro would sign with the stankees?
  23. loathe the skankees...anyway i was wondering if you could help me with something...theres a site i saw last year that had like a flash presentation on it....it was an anti-yankees thing that was to the tune of "Dirty Water" and it had all these pictures of the yankees in gay positions and at one point there was a full shot of them all with a caption underneath it that said "What a bunch of pricks"...anyway, i LOVED it, but i cant find it! do you happen to know the web address?
  24. I have to say (and hope) the twins do because they have better starting pitching that the MFY and mussina is their #1 pitcher and has not had a great history in the playoffs. GO twins! Go sox!
