  1. I don't understand, didn't we already play KC at the stadium? I'm pretty sure we did, why would we play at YS again?
  2. I guess it's not a big deal, but I'm happy he didn't hit it at fenway. I'd rather he got the proper ovation at YS. EDIT: s***, the yankees go to KC first? Rest jeter 3 games please, he doesn't need to play anyway.
  3. I'd rate it a C- myself.
  4. Clutch is what you make of it, coming through is coming through but where it gets shady is that I believe it's regardless of inning. Speaking of clutch how about ortez caught with the bat on shoulders in a humungous spot where everybody in the world knows he's going to hit A) a 2 RBI single a 2-3 RBI double C) A grand slam. 0-5 against the yankees!? It really has been a rough start. Jeter by the way with some clutch fielding, haha.
  5. Some postives and negatives from today's game. Since charges go from negative to positive in a complete circuit, we'll start out with the negatives: 1. Posada has a problomatic tendon, don't know how long he'll be out. 2. RJ didn't get any worse, but didn't get any better either, so that's a negative. 3. Proctor gets pounded by manny once again as manny has another great night Positives: 1. Yanks able to score 8 runs with a complete s*** lineup 2. Melky gets 4 RBI's, Long gets a few hits. 3. Ortez goes 0-5 with 4 K's. 4. Joe shows confidence in Farnsworth allowing him to pitch to Ortez with the bases loaded, and he k's him 5. Mo does what mo of late has done, close out games.
  6. Now? I already say he's no longer owned, maybe this 1-2-3 inning changes a few naysayers, but I doubt it. It's like trying to teach evolution to a bunch of fundamentalists.
  7. How? Give half a run to the pitcher that put the runner there and half a run to the pitcher that gave up the RBI? That's the only way I see it happening.
  8. Wow. Great game, well bad game really. Both pitchers sucked ass as expected, but one sucked a little less than the other.
  9. It is true though. I don't know he gets hitters out. I haven't really heard what he pitch he really dominates people with. His fastball is so-so, and I don't know what his other pitches are.
  10. That was Farnworth's run. Do you know how the game of baseball works? Inherited runner don't go against a pitcher. There's a thread in the MLB forum that might cover that, maybe you should check it out. As far as wanting mo to be in a save situation tomorrow....uhhh, hey we agree on something! So do I!
  11. A lot of yankee fans are probably demanding manny be beaned tomorrow and are very angry. I don't feel that way. When has manny not showboated? It's not as if he picks out the yankees on purpose and looks to watch his homers. That's just what he does. Bitching about it and beaning him won't do anything. But as far as people saying who gives a s***, if A rod did that, it would be a different story. Just how it is. Gagne was closer to mo's status than papelboner is now, and even he blew up. Don't call him the next mo just yet. Although, I'll give ya he's pretty damn nasty with a baseball.
  12. #1, Damon has a broken foot, so that's a fairly good excuse for not doing as well as youkillllis. In terms of the future, we don't know if this will continue for youkilis, it's only may, while Damon has done it for years now. Plus damon, even with the broken bone in his foot is faster. That says something. But, yes, right now, Youkilis is the better leadoff man.
  13. Is it safe to say Mariano Rivera is no longer "owned" by the red sox? With no problems since the blown opportunities in 04 and beginning of 05, Mo has yet to have a problem with the red sox in save situations. I'd say the red sox being his Daddy tag is off. If the bosox fans cheer for him again, it'll be because he's retiring.
  14. I guess you could say his 2 RBI single wasn't clutch because it was only in the third. But look at the difference, 2 runs. I still call it clutch, anytime you come through like that it should be regarded as clutch.
  15. Come on mavs, let's do this.
  16. Eh s***** game. Bunch of fogin' stat padders.
  17. How is it possible to have this many injured at one time?
  18. Yanks lose, could have won.
  19. HE STRUCK HIM OUT!!!!!! I HATE THE YANKEES!!!! Thanks for yelling at me Jon.
  20. Not just RSN, I knew it as well. For some reason, I say wagner goes 1-2-3. Call me crazy.
  21. Man, how about this scum of the bullpen's performance? Shut down the mets.
