I'm a Pats fan too, and I've never really understood this. Each year the Colts came into Foxboro, they were an inferior team, and as expected, we beat them. When we went to Indianapolis, they beat us, as expected. I've never understood this sentiment from Pats fans. Peyton is one of the best QBs to ever play the game, and the only reason Pats fans hate him so much, it seems to me, is because he challenges TFB as the best in the game today. What's the problem? Can't we enjoy both without having to hate one of them and liking another?
That also said, I, regrettably, was one of the people to buy into the Colts-Pats rivalry when it's really not that big of a deal. I mean, we had lots of matchups in the playoffs, which was nice, but this rivalry, or whatever you want to call it, is pretty much over (if you even give it credit for ever having started). I like Peyton Manning. He's an unbelievable player. I have learned to think this way over the years, and feel wrongly about more than half the things I have said about Peyton and the Colts over the past few years.
The only exception is Polian. He's a f***ing ass hat.
