  1. 4-1, 33.2 IP, 32 K, 2.14 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, .223 BAA
  2. If I had to put money on who will have the better outing tomorrow, I'd put it on Young because who knows what'll happen with Wake's knuckler.
  3. Welcome to the board! Enjoy your stay.
  4. The schillingouttheks mojo rolls along right into San Diego. Hopefully the offense that we saw two nights ago can carry into this series against some very nice San Diego pitching. Tonight is Greg Maddux, tomorrow is Chris Young, and the finale is Jake Peavy (ouch). Go Sox...WIN! Game Info: Date: Friday, June 22nd, 2007 Teams: Boston Red Sox (46-25) @ San Diego Padres (41-30) First Pitch: 10:05pm EDT Venue: PETCO Park, San Diego, California TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://pics.forecaster.ca/mlb-player/6423.gifhttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://pics.forecaster.ca/mlb-player/0671.gif http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#18 Daisuke Matsuzaka (8-5, 4.18) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/sd.gif#30 Greg Maddux (6-3, 3.90) Mojo of the day: Let's go back to the angry mojo. That was very successful for us back in the day, so I feel compelled to bring it back. http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/mouse.jpg GET ANGRY!!!!
  5. You could make a case that Boston was in fact WORSE than Southern cities. Blacks migrated here in bunches during the Civil Rights movement and that's when Northerners got their first real taste of what it was like to live with black people. Down south, the cities were already integrated and life with blacks was routine. For every bit of intolerance, there was also some tolerance to balance it out. Boston as a whole was a MESS around that time that you're talking about...you already mentioned the Boston Busing.
  6. Looks like we're heading for a re-match of last year's North Carolina - Oregon State college world series final.
  7. It would be difficult to part with Ellsbury, but to have 25 homers out of your catcher is a very, very nice asset. His value as a catcher skyrockets. As a 1B...not so much (the Braves were thinking about converting him to a 1B). I'd rather have him as a C. Besides, they're trying to find takers since Thorman will be at 1B for awhile.
  8. I have a feeling they'd want Ellsbury instead of Coco if they're going to trade Saltalamacchia. And I may just do that.
  9.    ^^Wait, I think I actually laughed that many times !
  10. Channel?
  11. That was a sick, sick pitch to Jeter.
  12. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's CORPAS!
  13. Melky sac fly...4-3.
  14. And he walked Jorge Julio. Way to go Proctor!
  15. That wasn't borderline. That was outside. Wide K-Zone.
  16. If Tulowitzki continues this success, he could pass Hunter Pence as the leading candidate for NL ROY.
  17. Just one more strike...just one more.
  18. I don't blame him.
  19. That's not something to be proud of.
  20. I thought it was obvious until you pained baseball fans as fickle. It sounded like you weren't including yourself in the group of baseball fans.
  21. No, he had his first outing against a lineup that can hit the ball and faintly resembles an AL lineup. The Pirates are a joke and the Mets were the only team with a colder lineup than the Red Sox last weekend.
  22. I'm actually talking about performance enhancers, not "mine" incidents.
