From this point forward, I agree with what you're saying. No one's arguing against the fact that Gagne should not be trusted in late innings anymore. However, I think Tito made the correct calls today. You don't.
Papelbon hasn't pitched in like forever. How the hell does Tito know that he's even going to need Papelbon in the night game? Seriously dude, get off the soap box. You're the ONLY one that's blaming Tito.
Tito vowed to stick with him, and I supported him at the time. Now, though, I would not stick him out there in a meaningful spot ever again. I don't blame Tito for tonight, I blame Gagne. However, if this is what Gagne gives us, and Tito continues to stick his ass out there, Tito will start being the foundation of my irritation.
Do you ever come here when you don't have something to bitch about? Nothing bothers me more than seeing you absent and then showing up when things are about to implode.
And this is not Tito's fault. It's Gagne's fault.
BTW, does anyone realize that it seems like it's always the same umpire that annoys the f***ing hell out of Tito?
3 runs is too much to ask for from this s*** offense. I know it's the second game in a day, but f***ing Christ I guarantee you guys that the Angels are 10x as tired as we are. We even had a f***ing day off yesterday while the Angels had a late game in Toronto.
