renteria would be a nice addition and bellhorn is much better than pokey but i'm still worried about this season. we haven't been playing as well as i thought we could and i don't know that cabrera has any postseason experience. it would have been nice to have nomar at least for the rest of this season. on a side note...i was curious, how is mientkiewicz going to fit into the daily lineup? we already have millar at 1b so it doesn't seem like doug will be playing every day

allright, i can agree that we got the needed defensive help but i would feel much more comfortable with a healthy nomar in the lineup than an orlando cabrera. i will give it some time to pan out but i don't think cabrera is going to be able to fill nomar's shoes completely

what was managment thinkning when they made this deal...all the sox got for nomar was orlando cabrera and doug mientkiewicz. the sox did not get full value for nomar and practically gave the cubs the world series
