Mariners were going for Delgado, but it looks like we've signed Sexon. I agree, Delgado wouldn't be a good fit in Boston.

This has been the worst offseason for the sox in a while, just think if they hadn't signed wells now! It is looking more and more like BK Kim will have a spot on the 2005 rotation.

After the World Series win i kind of expected Pedro to sign with us, im also surprised that the Mets made a run for him, does this make them a contender now? -
Are the mets thinking of doing well next year, i don't think they will make a run at the playoffs.

I guess it comes down to don't fix what isn't broken. OC did well this year, and we can get him for less, but i think Renteria will be a good fit in Boston.

What if Hanley isn't ready for the Majors in one year, or gets injured? I don't mind this move at all. Renteria is a good, proven SS who is only 29. Good move, the price is the only bad thing, but if that is what it takes then go for it.

I hope Well works out, i looked over his stats over the past few years, not to bad, but he is in his 40's. I think the 2 year deal with us may be the last for him in MLB. He pitched below his carrer ERA (4.03) last year with a 3.37 ERA in 31 starts and was 12-8.
