  1. my question is, who doesnt say it? in boston we are so attached to baseball we talk as if the team and us are one unit
  2. not yet. until we can get a starter to take his place i say no. we cant afford to have a minor leaguer come in. we will have to either wait for BK to come back or a trade before we can do this. he should be sent back to the bullpen. he gets blisters from throwing too may pitches, and that kills us. it will keep him healthy with his pitches on the minimal side and hopefully get him back on his game. but, we would really need a solid replacement before this could happen
  3. yes, i agree with the tough plays. when jeter gets a tough play though he usually makes the throw from what ive seen in nationally televised games of them and vs. the sox. he doesnt boot the ball or throw it away when it goes to him, unlike nomar who boots a lot of balls and thows a lot away too. just because hes a yankee doesnt mean he sucks.
  4. dude, look at it from a non-red sox fan perspective. jeter is just a great player. how does he suck at fielding Jeter- 139 errors in 1288 games Nomar- 135 errors in 948 games Tejada- 145 errors in 1016 games Furcal- 104 errors in 587 games Renteria- 167 errors in 1223 games this proves that he is one of the best fielders in the game. end of story see, if i was a yankee fan, i would have gotten no stats...
  5. byrnes is a great fielder, i knew he would make the catch...
  6. i half agree half dont. as much as i hate to say it, jeter deserves to be an all-star/ as much as i hate him he has been on a tear, and we just have to accept the fact that he just may be one of the greatest shortstops ever
  7. pivotal... anyways we gotta win. i was saving this until petey pitched again, but i can hold it back any longer http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v346/YanksHater213/Pedro_Banner.gif
  8. who doesnt hate it when the yankees win
  9. welcome to the site, enjoy your stay
  10. i think this goes for almost everyone when i agree

  12. i wouldnt like that trade at all. we would be giving up WAY too much Nomar and Lowe (when on his game) is worth 500 times Choi/Gonzalez and Pavano. Pavano is a one year wonder. He has never really been that good. This trade would make our team that much worse
  13. all i have to say is FINALLY. this was an amazing streak, that probably wont be broken for a long time. id have to say he is one of the best closers of all time after that strek
  14. yea, he said it, they showed it on sportscenter too, thats where i found it
  15. the NL probably will win. maybe if we had Ortizzle starting it would be a different story
  16. haha, thats great. we really needed to win this one, but what a surprise, we didnt

  18. this game just ruined my day. great start, and as usual, we blowe it
  19. millar is just fat and eats too much, thats his problem ortiz deserves a rest, he has been carrying our team. its a shame hes not an the all-star ballot. plus hampton is a lefty
  20. whoa, that would be so cool. being on a plane with the best GM in the MLB
  21. they IBB nomar to get to manny... id rather pitch to nomar to be honest with you and they pay up the ass as manny doubles in two and tek knocks one in...
  22. lowe lowe lowe... maybe we should change him to a DH or something... lol btw, yankees down 1-0 on a sac fly by Piazza
