Agreed. I think Papa Jack gets too much credit for what Ortiz did. Ortiz has always said that the Twins had him confined to one hitting style, once he was released he was able to hit naturally.

Lugo's different. He gets on base, and he can run.

I'd rather have him on base more frequently so Ortiz, and Ramirez can knock him in. The job of a leadoff hitter is to get on base, Crisp doesn't do that.

Crisp's career OBP is .329. You want him in the leadoff spot, because he's fast?
