  1. Who was the pitcher who had eight walks, but 30 HBP? He's supposedly a good prospect, due to his high strikeout rate, a bit of a temper though.
  2. CLUTCH!! CLUTCH!!!!
  3. Quick counterpunch.
  4. They don't need any serious upgrades. They were a blown call away from winning the Super Bowl. They do need to go get some youth at linebacker this year, and they probably need to retain Samuel, or they can do the Bucs a favor and flip us a second round pick for Brian Kelly. The WR corp is fine. As long as #12 is still throwing the ball, they can make up the shortcomings in the WR department. If Ted Ginn is available that late, I'd take him.
  5. I'll comment on Melancon when his elbow is healed in 2008.
  6. McAllister had an ERA over 3.00 and a rather low strikeout rate for someone you claim to be an ace already. Betances has pitched less than 25 innings. Do you think you're being overly optimistic? Wait, f*** that. You are being way way too optimistic. Most of these players haven't touched A-ball, and you're already hailing at as the greatest draft ever? Jesus, are you reaching. Melancon got absolutely skull f***ed in the HWBL, which was before his Tommy John surgery. I'd wait to make sure he's on his way back before we proclaim him Mariano Jr. What's even more laughable is you're lauding a 24 year old right-hander for his great performance in a rookie league. College pitchers should dominate that league, especially ones that old. Norton's another four year college pitcher. Oh, but weluvdehyanks.com says this about Norton, "omg, he therw a fastballer n it wuz hard so he def cy young witout question." Give them a few years, before you annoit them Nolan Ryan's, and Honus Wagner's.
  7. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/M/TroyMattes.shtml Troy Mattes is the pitching coach at Riverview High School. He was in the same rotation as Kyle Snyder back in 1995 when Riverview won the state finals.
  8. He edited his post, right after ORS mentioned he was a WS winner.
  9. Where was this taken at? I didn't know he was that freaking bald.
  10. Fenway usually boost left-handers batting average by 5%. If he plays for the Red Sox in 2007, I project him to hit: .320/.430/.510/.940, 18 HR's.
  11. I want to see a little of Murphy, before we trade him. If in fact, he's really gained all muscle this offseason, he could be a 20 HR power threat. I'd take Nolasco, but Petit doesn't look all that exceptional.
  12. The Steelers have hired Mike Tomlin to replace Bill Cowher. Tomlin is the NFL's 6th black head coach. http://www.wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=18935 In other news, the Dolphins have hired Cam Cameron to replace Nick Saban. Cameron is the NFL's 26th white coach. (Why can't I find an article that says that?)
  13. So, the USA won 3-1. :dunno:
