  1. Florida's probably going to win this thing again. UNC could give them a game, Ohio St. might be able to hang with them, but who else?
  2. NHS is a moron. 99% of the things he says are wrong. He disappeared after months of guaranting that Clemens would wind up in Boston.
  3. Eight years? I don't think Zambrano will hold up for eight years. As ORS said, his numbers have been declining. Not a massive decline, but those 115 walks are scary. I'm curious to what will happen when his stuff begins to decline. I don't think he'll be able to compensate for the number of missed bats he was generating. Plus, his shoulder's probably going to fall off. He's only 26 years old, but he's thrown nearly 1450 innings in his career. Christ, that's a lot of pitches for a guy that young. He finished fourth in number of pitches thrown in 2006, he would have easily finished 1st, had Arroyo, Harang, and Zito had comparable innings. (24, 16, and 7 respectively) Zambrano is a great pitcher, but I don't think you're going to get a great return on investment on this guy. I'd go five years at the most.
  4. adam123 = yankeehater Can this be true??
  5. Not exactly a good thing.
  6. on teh otehr side deh yanks hav great pitcher eerwhere. carl pavanoatior looks like he could be a great addition to the new staff im gunna say 25-0 with a 0.32 era, now thats the conservative estimate. no, im not being biased. oh, zach mcAllister could def dominate this year, and maybe ed yarnell n brandon claussen n cairo is pretty raw he prob cood hit .503 if he wanted but capn derek (hot) is gunna hit 1.002 cuz he raw now im not bein biased slurp god slurp low start bobbin boy lol ne one laughin?
  7. Just to set the record straight, I think Greg Oden will be a fantastic NBA player. I think he'll dominate on the defensive end. That being said, I do have doubts to whether he can dominate on the offensive end. That's why I'm leaning toward Durant. Olajuwon was a great offensive center, as was Shaq. I think Oden will be good, but he's more of a 20/10 guy. Shaq and Olajuwon were more like 25/10 guys.
  8. I don't see what you don't get about this. It would be retarded if the two players were done with their physical maturation process, but only Oden is. Look at the motherf***er, does he look like a guy who's going to get taller, or stronger? Unless he jabs a needle into his ass, he's done. His game will improve, but I don't think it will be better than Durant's. Look at Durant, he's not done. He's going to put at least 40 pounds of muscle onto that frame, and when he does, he's going to be freaking unstoppable. He shoots better than Garnett, and he's faster than Nowitzki. He'll be a guy who can take over a game in all aspects of it.
  9. :wtf: Andrew Pickney?
  10. BoSox34 is a gooch. That's all that needs to be said.
  11. Thorpe was a 13 point a game player in the early 90's as well.
  12. BoSox, this is called reading comprehension. Try it.
  13. Oh, thanks for pointing out the obvious. That's a strengh of yours, isn't it? Where do I say that Oden won't be a great Center? I'm just saying, that this is the guy you're going to see in the pros. He's not going to get taller, and his frame is pretty much maxed out. He'll have trouble adding more bulk to his frame.
  14. Wow. You completely missed the point. I'm surprised your limitations in your mental aspects didn't hold you back from being able to type. The point is, Greg Oden is done growing, the guy you're looking at right now, is the guy you'll see 20 years from now.
  15. I'll go with Durant. Look at the two players right now. When you look at Greg Oden, you know he won't get any bigger. He looks like he's forty, and his body type is clearly indicitive of a guy who won't likely mature any further. Durant, on the other hand, looks like a 17 year old kid. He's not even close to being done with his physical maturity. When this guy bulks up, he's going to be absolutely massive. He's already averaging a double-double with his body size. Picture his statistics if he was at his peak in terms of physical development. This guy might be averaging 40 points, and 15 rebounds a game. Forget his statistics, picture his presence on the basketball court with his size, speed, and shot threats. You can't guard someone like this. Oden's going to be a very good player in the NBA, but Durant's peak is so unbelievably high, you got to take the chance on Durant. I think we're looking at Kevin Garnett, with Nowitzki's ability to bury three's.
  16. I typed in "human ashtray" to get a picture of a guy smoking a faggot of fags. The results were surprising to say the least. It seems they were trying to enter the body from a different opening. Does it reduce your chance of getting cancer? :dunno:
  17. You got to be s***ing me. You were amped about two 24 year old prospects who dominated low A ball.
  18. I'm pretty sure you are correct.
  19. I'm pretty sure he meant: http://www.leithpetwerks.com/Cat_images/BB700.jpg
  20. Any players out of the Sarasota/Manatee area this year? After watching Riverview lose to Braden River 2-0 (Riverview, POP: 3,000, Braden River, POP: 400) I knew that this area probably had zero chances of getting anyone to the next level. Anyway, have you heard of these players, at all? Dane Derstine, C Justin Meek, P Conner McPherson, 1B
  21. USA vs Mexico, tonight at 9:15. It should be relatively interesting. Any predictions? Anyone actually going to watch?
