  1. Whoa, what happened to the site? I havent visited in a long time.
  2. Wow, I haven't posted here in forever. Anyway, Schilling has been great recently. Hopefully we can get a win out of him tonight because we need it. The wild card is a bit to close for my liking.
  3. And the implosion begins....
  4. I havent heard anything about him. Why dont our resident minor league experts give us a rundown?
  5. Lol, neopets. Isnt that where you have your own "virtual pet"?
  6. Millar is this team's biggest problem. And Nomar is back. I hope. Man, this sucks, we can NEVER score when we need to. Whatever, its almost gotten to the point where I dont care anymore. If the sox lose this one, at least it will have been a good game, right?
  7. Lol, so, you'd like to trade our worst players away? Who wouldn't! But I see your point. Welcome to the site as well.
  8. Hi. I like the site you have set up over there.
  9. Wow, .182! Pedro should shut down the Phillies, hopefully. He needs to get his ERA down, and the sox need 3 wins in a row. 5.5 back is not pretty.
  10. Just to point out: Crespo hasn't had an at-bat since June 17th, and he hasn't started since the 6th (which, coincidentally, was when he had his last hit). It's not like Mueller's absence is forcing Crespo into the lineup on a daily basis.
  11. Schilling > Colon ANYONE > Contreras Big deal if Steiny wants to "thwart" the sox moves. It usually works out for the better for us, and he usually gets the short end of the stick (A-Rod aside, but I didnt want A-rod). Beltran can go to NY for all I care, too many cooks spoil the pot, and not enough pitching ruins a team.
  12. And do we have any results?
  13. Francona>Williams>Little I'll take the least bad. It's hard to be happy with a manager, kind of like its hard to be happy with an umpire.
  14. Ideas on when Curt will see his first Red Sox action? I say.... tomorrow.
  15. I know, isnt it amazing? David Ortiz only has one home run with men on base, the rest are solo shots. It's pathetic if you think about it, if we could just get the longball with men on we'd be so much better off.
  16. I liked Malaska, its a shame to see him sent down really. But he'll be back soon enough, hopefully.
  17. Yea, that was not an easy play to make by any stretch of the imagination. Its good to see that he feels comfortable enough to do that spinny thing out there, and its even better to see that he can throw from that position, with that strength, and still hit his target. God, I love Nomar.
  18. I dont think enough credit is being given to Schmidt here. That was one of the most dominant outings by a pitcher against the sox that I have ever seen.
  19. Informative read, does the Globe do this often? I hope he's OK.
  20. He'd been saying that up until this season. After spring training, where he wasnt signed, he'd been saying that he'd take less money for Boston, and was willing to stay here. Now he's saying that he wants to test FA, and that Boston would have to compete with other teams for his service. I'm not sure if Boston is really his 1st choice. I think wherever is willing to pay the most money is his first choice. But if this happens, and he does indeed turn Clemens-esque, won't we all be shooting ourselves for letting him go? I understand that the ballpark and the NL may have something to do with it, but still.... Also, if he has to go, so long as he doesnt go to an AL team I'd be happy.
  21. It's been this way forever though. For as long as I can remember it the sox have consistently been changing the lineup around. Last year, or the year before, I'm not sure, I think they changed the lineup more days than they had it the same, or something that was even crazier. It's annoying, sure, but its something that has to be done sometimes.
  22. Man, I hate *******s who reach over and rob players of homeruns. Damn fans. And he's so proud of himself too. But at least Nomy got the triple.
