If this starts blowing up even more, and some kind of investigative committee gets formed, that's absolutely ridiculous. I hate how government and sports are beginning to grow inseperable, and I don't think tax money needs to be spent on this kind of stuff. Like when Mirabelli was brought to Fenway in a cop car. Couldn't he have just taken a cab?

The New York Mets, the worst team that money can buy. Looking at this makes what Tampa is doing even more impressive. They have ONE FIFTH of the Yankees payroll. There was a great Forbes baseball business edition that came out before the start of this season that got into payroll and how teams are branding themselves. Newstands don't stock it aymore (i have it sitting on my desk at work actually), but I'm sure you could find the info online if you're interested. It was a great read.

Maybe we're just hearing about it more, whereas in the past the front office tried to keep any incidents under wraps. I don't want to theorize about anything, but could it have something to do with his contract year and them trying to justify not re-signing him? just floating it out there.

I can't stand Chicago style hot dogs. Why eat a hot dog if you want to make it an excuse to eat a salad with disgusting green goo on it. I like a regular hot dog with mustard/ketchup depending on my mood. -
