Figure this was big enough to warrant a split off from the hot stove thread. Latest is that he's undergoing a physical for the Sox and could get a 5 yr deal for around 80 million.

To be fair, sometimes we as fans do overstate the injury risk/potential or how that weighs on the value of a player. All I remember hearing about in in 05/06 before we got Beckett was how his hand was one gigantic blister and how he'd be a humongous bust.

Well I was just browsing Twitter for the keyword Halladay, and there seems to be a rumor going around that he's apparently booked for a physical here in Philly. It's probably bunk, considering rumors spread like wildfire on the site. Zach Braff is dead!

It would be nice one year to see the sox interested in people who didn't bring significant injury risk with them. It's like a total crap shoot going into the season.

Yea, well I dropped Mark Reynolds early on in the season last year. People screw up I guess. Glad to hear it's working out though. I'd suck up a storm though, I know nothing about football. I'd try to play Drew Bledsoe.

I'm not participating in this, but how is the league shaping up? Are people keeping active? Next year, at least for baseball, we'll have to put steps into place to insure activity throughout the season. I wouldn't object to being commish, maybe that would help to assuage any doubts people have? Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread...

I thought about this. Then the chant is "BOOOOOOOOO f*** YOU!" Sounds like Boof. Similar to the Derek Lowe antagonistic chants of when he sucked as closer.
