Maurice Samuel Mo Vaughn, nicknamed The Hit Dog, played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball. Vaughn made his legacy with the Boston Red Sox, posting all of his best seasons in front of the Fenway Faithful. Vaughn played for the Boston Red Sox, Anaheim Angels, and New York Mets. Like so many others, his time in MLB was derailed by injuries, and he was forced to retire in 2003.
