The Red Sox kicked off their 2026 season as one of the worst teams in franchise history. After some retooling, Alex Cora was fired and replaced by Triple-A manager Chad Tracy. The Red Sox didn't hit their stride until late June, followed by 15- and 8-game win streaks. By the trade deadline, the Red Sox were the best team in baseball and acquired Adley Rutschman, Curtis Mead, and Erik Miller, to name a few. Down the stretch, the Red Sox faded from their hot midseason rampage of winning but were still able to reach the postseason as a Wild Card entry. This is the 2026 Red Sox year in review!
