  1. May is going to get rolled. He’s not the guy he once was at all. The Dodgers knew this and Breslow made the deal to appease the masses. He’s washed
  2. I knew that I was implying that his second start off the extended layoff is much different than his first. Sometimes extended breaks make sense and other times the break in the routine can come back to haunt you
  3. A hangover after the first start of an extended break. He did not look even remotely close to the guy we’ve seen all year
  4. Of course they don’t but when you have a young team it’s even more important to have some level of predictability instead of the name out of the hat mentality of this manager.
  5. I worry about this offensive flow with this team. Cora has a different, largely different lineup every game with players out of position and no continuity in the line up. Our World Series teams all had consistent predictable line ups. The chaos of these lineups with marginal talent in many spots doesn’t bode well
  6. Drifting off of second right after you stole it is just dumb baseball
  7. Rafaela just puts the ball in play would have changed the inning but he flailed away once again. Zero discipline
  8. This offense appears incapable of hitting a change up. Back to the approach at the beginning of the year with less discipline and more swings and misses
  9. Not sure I understand why he had the infield in? If the bunt gets down the runner gets to third anyway and that’s all that matters. I figured with the walk they were setting up for the DP. Not sure what food it would do to take your defense out of position to field a bunt that if put in play gets the runner to third.
  10. Here’s a trivia question , name a manager that leaves a pitcher in long enough to give up four straight walks
  11. He couldn’t control his momentum sliding in. It’s his job to be sure a tag or the glove making contact with him doesn’t force him off the bag. Terrible angle coming in
  12. Hamilton had one job to do and couldn’t do it. Why is this dude taking a roster spot?
  13. He’s been used a lot lately. Let’s just hope this is some version of arm fatigue and not an a more serious overuse injury. Clearly Chapman didn’t feel he could really let it go and Cora has run this guy out a lot
  14. Two last place finishes and a third place finish in the last three years for a top four market team take away the 6 runs against the Cubs and this team has scored four runs in Four games since the break and are about to go 1-4 along with a whopping 2 hits tonight. Theres one constant in all of this and it’s Cora. If he’s in the private sector performing this way he gets fired. Instead he drones on at press conferences about benign successes instead of facing the reality that his teams once again underperform
  15. Too much creative writing from Cora every single game with his lineup. This inconsistency and lack of acumen on Cora’s part to understand the value of familiarity and consistency with the lineup is beyond him. Every lineup in every game is different. Not slightly different but drastically. No team can build symmetry and expectations when the lineup is a free for all
  16. Cora seems to lead the league in creative lineups. Defensive players out of position, hitters wondering where they will fall in the lineup if at all. While lineups change often it seems Cora just picks names out of a hat.
