    Good for "de Doyers". I'm sure that there are a number of similar examples throughout baseball's 150 year history. I'd love to be wrong about this and I would be the first guy to admit it. But please tell me what you have seen FROM THIS YEARS TEAM that gives you confidence in September and possibly October. Virtually every position player is having a down year, Devers & Bogaerts notwithstanding. We have nagging injuries. We are dealing with an absolute mess in the pen brought to us in part by Alex Cora. That aside.. does the fielding and base running look solid to you thus far? Go Bruins!

    I'll be surprised if this team finishes 10 games over .500 this year. They are consistently blowing chances to gain ground in the division and currently sitting in third place. Cleveland Chicago Texas Oakland LA Are the Red Sox going to hold those teams off in order to play a wildcard game in NY/Tampa? That's the goal at this point. I don't wanna hear that it's still early because I'm not buying it. I have seen enough of this team to accept who they are.

    Has Cora ever gone on the record as to why he has not chosen a closer yet? I don't even care if its Barnes or Workman at this point.

    I'm gunna have to agree here. I wear red socks when I feel like I need to do my part.. do any of you?? Maybe THAT'S why we are sitting at .500 I will not rest until I guilt trip everyone here into owning several pairs.. lol

    Anyone else have any ideas for a trade? This team is 34-33 and going nowhere fast. This loss kinda got to me tonight. This is exactly the type of loss that we can expect in the post season if we happen to fall ass backwards into it this year. Blown saves drive me bananas.

    Toronto is gunna want young arms for Giles. Barnes won’t get that done. Although I’d rather keep Barnes to be honest. I do trust him in a spot for some reason.. just a gut feeling. Weird I know. We don’t want to let go of Workman and Barnes imo.. the rest are straight up bait.
