    Or, since Victorino hasn't been having the best at bats: Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz Nava Napoli Victorino Middlebrooks Ross Boegarts The reason I might like Boegarts at the 9 slot is his batting eye, his willingness to take a pitch, take a walk, and extend innings. Ross, although having gotten less time, is batting .308 with 2 doubles...compared to Saltalamacchia's tepid .207 with 17 K's.

    Mixed feelings when I see games filled with iffy moments that outweigh the major contributions: Jonny Gomes is more of a party goon than a player these days...I feel like this team is full of these antagonistic holes that can't all function at the level that the postseason requires because they are SEVERELY overmatched...only a few certain players carry the momentum... players like Salty, who's probably picturing himself on the off season driving range whenever he follows through on a whiff on a ball in the dirt, clearly are out of their league, and when I see them screw up it makes me weary of this season...alot of inneffective players riding the coattails of Ellsbury, Nava, and Pedroia, partying it up on the new NESN 24 hour apres party rave extravaganza....I hated seeing things like Dempster making out with his girlfriend (although she was hot...some catch for a guy who looks like a complete neanderthal) on the field after they clinched the east...and still won't sit that well with me if they win it all...
