    I know what I'm saying. You guys think these guys are going to be the 2007 guys. You want short term deals which is 4 years in all reality. Which isn't that short. That's fine but to see you guys type everyday that the Sox should save their money like you have it is hilarous. It's funnier because the amount of money going to Liverpool and you want to watch that in Fenway. lol Keep saving because there isn't s*** for bangers on the market anytime soon. Go Soccer!

    Do you want the Yanks to sign Hamilton...So Brentz can start OF or Bradley. Hell with both in the OF might as well pay Bucholz and Lester 18 mil a season when both start the OF.

    I understand the context of long term deals... In regard to top prospects that all of you claim are ready to start in 2 years. How do you justify giving 3-4 years as not putting faith into the prospects that haven't amounted to s***. When the bangers are leaving the free agent market for the next half a decade.

    Tool.... Luchinno said he would go 5 years with Hamilton, but is playing it down. Cherrington said that players that get long term deals for large amounts of money that are good deals are primarly hitters, such as Hamilton. The only bad deal that was long term recently and I mean recent was Crawford. A-Gon was decent but still over priced. Crawford was the bad deal. Beckett was gone regardless, just like Lackey. Tool

    I'm arguing you guys are pretending to be Luchinno, everything he says (copy/paste) and act like your the smart one. What is the purpose of having guys that are in the prospects labeled as ready in 2013 and 2014 in the begging of the offseason? That's all you guys cared about in November. The Sox have to sign for 4 years *Swisher is going for 4 years. Not 3 , 4 . So that means 4 years isn't short term for a player that is going to keep prospects from playing. Swisher is older than Napoli. Hamilton would probably take 4 or 5 years. Then all I read is , Don't need these guys only 3 years is smarter because unproven minor leaguers are all I'm waiting for to watch all summer long. When the Sox have more money then you believe because they saved on the LA trade because of tax $ and tv revenue. They need to spend the cash out the rear to compete in the AL East.

    They didn't give Napoli 8 years. Swisher is getting 4 years. You going to tell me that 4 years is short term. Haren can't even get 1 year for 13.3 million. Everyone posts on this thread on every tweet that comes up from the globe and weei associates. Owe lets not give out 4 year deals because we want our prospects to come up and play the OF. Lets not do this because we have unproven talent and a s*** load of money to spend because we have historic taxes and television deal revenue to do nothing. Shut up and stop bitching about money and short term deals. No one will be pissed if Hamilton and Swisher get signed regardless how long. Then you change your response. Lackey will be off the table for 15 and he isn't even a number 5 pitcher. So how does that make your responses smarter by saying less long term deals when they signed him for what 4 years. Whats the difference between 4 and 5 years. That is a long time.

They need to spend the money they saved from the deal, the historic site taxes, and the new television contract. And this time they have a top 10 pick.

    How about this for an idea. Have Napoli catch. Have Swisher signed to play 1B. Sign Hamilton to LF. Before CF Ellsbury 2B Pedroia 1B Napoli DH Ortiz 3B Middlebrooks After CF Ellsbury 2B Pedroia C Napoli LF Hamilton 1B Swisher DH Ortiz 3B Middlebrooks RF Gomes/Brentz SS Ciriaco Swisher can play 1b reguarly and Napoli can catch reguarly. Swisher can platoon with Gomes and have Napoli play 1b/DH when he needs rest. That's the best case scenario for the winter meetings and is not stupid by any means.

    Napoli will be an improvement of Mike Lowell. 50 doubles, 30 hrs, is allright for 13 mil compared to A-Gone disappointing after he learned HR derby counts for the World Series

    Swisher doesn't hit in the postseason. If Boston is trading for a SP, the sox should sign Swisher and Hamilton.

    I'm allright with that b/c Sanchez can fill the gap until Lincecum or Kerkshaw arrive in the future. I would rather them trade Bucholz for Myers. Then trade Myers, Lester, prospects to SEA for Hernandez. I know I'm not crazy for an upgrade over both (Bucholz and Lester) and replace one of the two in the Free Agency.

    The Red Sox got a pretty good 3b. All Napoli has to do is hit .300 and he will be better than A-Gone because he is cheaper. But I don't know what 1b gets paid 9 mil for being a gold glover. Either way you get my point. Napoli hits well in the post season.

    I would trade Aceves,Bard,and Atchinson. They will all be replaced in 2 years including Padilla. Wilson would be nice to be the Sox closer but we don't need Bailey becoming Melanson. They should trade Melanson. Bard stuff will never be the same again because he won't throw as hard and his pitches are s*** because of it . Then he thinks he will improve his other pitches and be better but they won't be as good as his fastball.

    Why shouldn't the Red Sox sign LaRoche and Napoli. Napoli wants to catch and they need a glove with some power at 1b. Some people think they can save the 14 mil and play Swisher in OF and 1b. Why not add some more bats and not worry about the money if your sticking with the same rotation. They need to improve the lineup more than Swisher and Napoli b/c Rotation hasn't been fixed in the past 2 years and thats their main problem. Not sure how Wilson as closer can improve the team
