  1. Thanks God that was not a DP...I would have lost it
  2. Josh does have this thing now and again where everything ends up going low on him and then like I said he sort of overcorrects and doink.....one gets creamed. We can see what happens to him. He losses his arm angle right in the middle of the inning and he loses it from the legs up not from the arm down but he seem to try to correct it with his arm and that never works out for him. I know he is a vet but I do wish somebody would just go out and tell him what is happening and try to encourage him to recognize that he is not driving with his legs instead of letting him just try to solve it by himself. Lets get some runs here...now
  3. Funny when that thing was in the air I was saying to myself "that piece of s*** is going to be fair" I just know it. Had to tease the piss out of me too and just barely land fair.
  4. Well the Sox need to get serious at the plate and score some runs. So far a pretty piss poor performance at the plate tonight even with the caught liners etc.
  5. If anything maybe not being used to this f*** s*** park caught up to them there. Mike had to realize he was way out there...nice that he got to the ball but Nava slowed way down and would have been there just as well if not in better shape. But the way Mike was coming I sorta' think Nava figured he would not be able to call Mike off and they were about to kill each other in a collision. I think he was right in that regard. Very strange play.
  6. Almost looked like Mike was coming so hard that Nava did not pull the trigger to call him off but I actually think Nava had the easier play if he had just come on as hard as Mike and and called him off of it.
  7. The thing I worry about when Josh starts to have difficulty finding the plate and is low mainly...he often ends up leaving one up and ugly
  8. This is what I don't like about this place...I love well pitched ball games but clearly both teams should at least have a run or two by now that this place has just prevented and that turns a game frustrating. You end up with this itch you can't scratch feeling watching the game.
  9. Not your fault Youk but I would be will to bet that is the same guy just coming back every few months because the MO is the same....a few posts that seem normal followed by the same sort of graphically gruesome post that he ends up putting everywhere. My apologies for presumptuous.
  10. Damn would love for Nava to have that one back
  11. Even Josh has thrown a few pitches here that he would not get away with almost anywhere else....maybe nowhere else. It is so big and the air on certain nights particularly with the roof closed is so dead that you can just pitch to those big power alleys and let guys play catch in the outfield. Not sure the game should be that easy for pitchers.
  12. Geez you could grow old and die waiting for a run to be scored in this place.
  13. Boy doesn't seem like they must have been playing Salty way deep and that ball was way out there for a ball that dropped in like that?
  14. Man what a screwy ballgame so far. First we get Mr Noodle Arm throwing balls dancing all over the place but frankly often ending up in bad locations from a pitcher's perspective. Now he is gone and this guy gets one clanked off his foot that should have been a hit. Screwy
  15. Safeco taketh and Safeco giveth away
  16. Probably target as in hit by pitch target. Yanks can't be looking for a guy like Youk unless he has been a closet pitcher all these years.
  17. WS GM does consider himself something of a wheeler dealer. Some sort of whacky trade Youk again thing would not be a complete surprise although you would think the Yanks would be looking for pitching at this point.
  18. Interested to see what this injury is. Ramirez does not make pitching easy on himself from the little I have seen tonight.
  19. I don't think this guy Ramirez can last much into a second run through the order. Looks like he is already throwing everything he has at the Sox and is up in the zone a good deal. He is going to have to drastically change how he is pitching to change what should be inevitable. Meantime Boston College looks better then the M's at the plate.
  20. Looks like Ramirez is all arm. Does not seem to get his legs into the pitch much at all.
  21. I am beginning to wonder if this is a guy that sees his velo fall off pretty quickly as the pitch count goes up with similar impact to his movement. Seems to have a noodle for an arm and the ball right now is jumping all over the place. Have never seen him pitch before.
  22. Another good at bat by Nava. I really hope he is not traded. I still think that the skills he has are skills that will continue to stand up. Not to say he will stay as hot as he has since coming up but this it turning into one hell of a long streak of terrific play.
  23. Pound Ramirez early and often please
  24. I really hope Lilibridge does not turn out to be one of these jack of all trades master of none sorts especially since now there is a chance we end up losing Kalish for Lilibridge. Maybe some of these guys are going to end up dealt in trades almost as a necessity.
  25. He needs to find his arm slot again and his whole motion sort of results in an arm slot. Pitching at a major league level is amazingly different from doing just about anything else with a baseball. It ain't easy. At least he looks like he is optimistic. Thank God he is not wearing the Lester Halloween mask of eternal frown.
