  1. I’m just not sure what our rotation would look like next year. Sale Price E Rod Wright Evo? Then the BP is another mess of a story. Brewer, Taylor, Barnes? Add 3 more relievers.
  2. He will rebound he always does. That’s how his season has gone. 2 or 3 bad games followed by 2 or 3 really good games. Rick always adjusts his mechanics. Problem is when he does that he resorts back to his old play and sucks for a couple games for some reason. This stretch won’t continue I guarantee it. A bad out against Yanks Toronto and Detroit. This break came at the right time. Rick is a work horse and he says it all the time. Nobody is more pissed off than Rick when he pitches like this. Remains to be seen what his home town discount t is.
  3. Wish they lead in wins. We would be in a playoff spot lol.
  4. Josh Taylor if he keeps performing like this maybe?
  5. Is he expected back after the break?
  6. Find me a 3rd or 4th rotation man that can take Porcellos place at a decent price. I still stand by Porcello in saying he will take a nice discount. Who can we get that will consistently start and give us 6 innings at a decent price. I will wait. Nobody is saying Porcello is an Ace or that he will be as good as his CY YOUNG season but he is still a damn good player in the rotation. I wish he was more consistent like his play against Houston and Minnesota earlier. Rather than the play against Toronto and Detroit but it is what it is.
  7. What are our chances against the Dodgers after the break? Could be a huge confidence boost winning that series.
  8. Well Josh Taylor is really looking good. Wright back and in the bullpen and once Eovaldi is back we might be in better shape than some think. Add maybe one or two more relievers and we can contend again! The end.
  9. Agreed. When we split with Texas and beat Minnesota I thought we finally had it going. I also want to win a series against the friggin Yankees.
  10. A Tampa be York playoff series would be a good one.
  11. Well going into the all star break on a hot streak. Let’s keep it going folks.
  12. He looks better than some of our starters lol
  13. This Taylor kid is pretty good.
  14. Looks like he had a nice game. Give us another inning and I’m happy.
  15. Sad it happened against Detroit but oh well. We all get a rest after today.
  16. Sounds like his pitch count was high but yes we will never know. Something is odd though. End of the day 5 innings given just one run. I’ll take it. But want longer innings from our starters.
  17. Price still can’t go more than 5. Concerning.
  18. Price pitching. Easy win.
  19. Lol. Ya this is the point I was making earlier. Until recent as Moon pointed out he’s been solid but these ugly games like against the Yankees and the low Detroit will be remembered. However I still think his consistency of starting every time he’s called will bring him some decent coin. Depends how desperate a team is for a pitcher as well. Porcello as it stands is still much better than anything the Jays have outside of Stroman so I could see a team like that throwing a decent amount of money at him.
  20. If it happens I’m making a tribute video to him. And then spending my weekend crying. But yes I’m starting to agree with you and others. Someone will offer him a decent amount that I am starting to think he may not be worth.
  21. Exactly!! Nobody else has said who they want over Rick yet. Stroman maybe if he is cheap which he isn’t.
  22. Lol. I still want him on the team. But his last 2 starts have been god awful.
  23. Well said. Only thing I’m not so sure is the pitching too hard. Porcello doesn’t look like he is doing that to me. He is still the same Rick in my opinion from his CY YOUNG season but as I mentioned before. He just seems to get into his own head. He has a lot of great work. His slider, breaking, etc are all pretty when he is on. Go back to the Minnesota game for proof of that. But for some reason when he is off on one pitch like last night his breaking ball just didn’t seem to be working for him. All his pitches goes to hell. For some reason Rick is a 0 to 100 type pitcher. If it’s working he can give you 7 strong scoreless innings. If it’s not working he will blow up a game fast for you like he did against the Yankees and if the offense wasn’t so good last night he would have done it against Detroit as well. I’m still chalking this up to inconsistent on Ricks part. I don’t think these last two games indicate the way he will play for the rest of his career. And I will be the first to say. If it does. Then he needs to move on because we can find much better. But at the end of the day it’s inconsistent and Rick needs to work on the mental side of things. Don’t let a bad inning kill your entire game. He used to rebound it seemed after a bad inning last year. Give up an early Porcello but then would have 5 shut down innings. This year for whatever reason is just different. One bad inning turns into a complete s*** show. He was fantastic against Houston and the Jays then sucked for 3 straight games. Then was very good again against Texas and Minnesota and now back to suck. You just don’t know what Rick you’re going to get this year. It’s frustrating. When Rick is on he could cut it as an Ace for most teams like the way he played against Houston, Texas and Minnesota. But when he’s off like this last stretch I don’t even want him on the team.
