  1. Reminds me of the Jason Bay deal. We had a 4 year deal, (I think) with him but it fell apart because of injury and he went to the Mets.
  2. Stupid move.
  3. He only played 79 games last year... Another injury guy?
  4. I'm starting the campaign "Ciriaco for SS 2013" Slogan can be "I'm better than Jose"
  5. Oh man you guys got me rolling on the floor laughing.
  6. Why thanks. Favorite player. Very underrated.
  7. Uehara only pitched 39 innings between AAA and the Majors... Where was he the rest of the season?
  8. If you guys ever have a bad day just watch this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NhimRlyqpE
  9. May I ask where Bard will be in 2013? Haha.
  10. Since we got Victorino, do you think the Ross talks are done?
  11. Well put... I think the Sox hired JF to better our pitchers. Don't get rid of Lester. He still has good innings left in him.
  12. Here is my take on the Myers trade. First I am gonna ask a question. Do the Red Sox need pitching? Rhetorical ass question. During the summer I live at the Royals AAA ballpark. I've seen Myers play. The kid is a absolute beast. The Red Sox just hired a pitching coach as their head coach. I'm positive Farrell will turn Lester around. Farrell knows his stuff. Why would we trade our best pitcher? If we do it's going to be just another bridge year.
  13. So if we do sign Swisher does that mean no more Cody Ross?
  14. Tell me this. Who would you rather have at SS Aviles or Iglesias? Looks like Iglesias is going to be our SS unless we make a deal or pick someone up this off season.
  15. Lets just say I had a little man crush on Aviles. He played AAA ball in Omaha we had a couple of good conversations. Great guy.
  16. We send Mike Aviles to the Blue Jays. I HATE THIS
  17. I'm not sure about Farrell. I would've loved Tony Pena. I'm sure Farrell will do just fine. Let's just hope Benny Boy made a good move for the compensation.
  18. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/18/red-sox-blue-jays-talking-compensation-for-john-farrell/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Looks like the Sox are gonna try to get an interview with Farrell.
  19. I have no idea what we would give them. I do want to get rid of all Boras players. One would be ok. The Belt trade would make more room for the Panda and Posey. Very good point!
  20. I don't think he would. I've seen Belt play. He's a heck of a ball player. He wouldn't give him away cheaply. He is a rising player.
  21. I do like Kalish. He is a good ballplayer. I am just worried about the first base position.
  22. Is that Brandon Belt from the Giants?
  23. "Red Sox about to end a 26-50 second half, team's worst post-AS break mark in 80 years since ASG began. 04 club was 50-26." This from Tony Lee. The fact that the 04 team's record was the opposite is quite the coincidence.
  24. "Retired Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek, according to a major league source, is "close" to agreement on a role within the Sox organization. It is possible that he will head to Florida in the coming days to work with Red Sox minor leaguers taking part in the fall instructional league. Since Varitek announced his retirement during spring training, the Sox have said that the door would be open for him to have a future in the organization. In July, however, Varitek said that he was not yet ready to consider a post-playing-career job. "It's still too early for me to make that decision. I still need to get a little of the piss and vinegar of playing out of me and what's most important is getting my life, my family, being involved in some of the things I had missed and enjoy," he said at the time. However, it appears that the 40-year-old has now reached a point where he is comfortable pursuing his future in the game." This was taken from the WEEI web site. Your guys thoughts?
