    Yeah. When he's under control a bit more, he loses a touch of velocity but hits his corners. I don't mind him reaching back for 97 on a 2 strike pitch. Please, do more of that. But when he does it too often he ends up yanking pitches out of the zone or right down the middle.

    The problem is that he's got this mentality that he has to throw the ball 97 mph to be a "closer" so he's lost a lot of movement. I know you think I overdo stats, his vertical movement on his 4sm FB is down 12.3% this year, and the horizantel movement is down 15.3%. Basically, it's straighter and flatter, and that's why it gets hit hard sometimes.

    Yeah I'm in the same boat. Having said that, I'd obviously rather be in our shoes than theirs.

    Nothing better than watching 4 guys miss the opportunity to catch a foul ball because they were doing the wave, and the only guy paying attention come down with it.

    I think he had just started to come back around, getting his timing back. Who knows, maybe it was just a little stinger that made his thumb go numb, and he'll be back out there tomorrow.

    I think Pedroia bunted on his own, tried to push the bunt up the line and make Buehrle field it. Just didn't get it far enough up the lne, but if he does, Buehrle has to make a good play to field it, spin, and throw as a LHP. But what do I know, all I do is read stats.
