Yep. Can't go wrong with margaritas, especially the strong ones they make at Mexican restaurants (at least an entire shot at the bottom of the glass).
That chart doesn't look right to me. He hit 30 something HR's last year, right? I'm not seeing that many of the blue dots indicating HR's. Even if you count up all the flyouts that would be HR's at Fenway, it still would only be in the low 30s which does not seem right.
I really like Heath Bell, had him on my fantasy team last year. He had a great year last year and posted a 1.93 ERA and recorded 47 saves. He has always been solid in SD and he has only been closing for them for 2 years, he probably wouldn't mind not closing in Boston if it came to that. This would definitely upgrade our bullpen quite a bit.
I've seen some of you guys mentioning rotating Youk, AGON, and Beltre in the DH spot, but where does that leave Ortiz who is supposed to be our everyday DH? I guess it could work, however it just seems to be too many players to rotate.
Part of me thinks he just had a bad year last year and can turn it around. Then the other says that he has lost what made him so good and he is starting to get a bit old, who knows how much he has left in him.
Anybody else find it ironic that V-Mart thinks he has a better chance to win a title with Detroit than Boston? He said something along those lines the other day and from what I can recall from last year, Detroit was .500 team last year? Boston managed to barely miss the playoffs and that largely had to do with the amount of injuries we accumulated.
On that note, what do you guys make of this guy?
I could see us trading Scutaro and starting the season with Lowrie if we had to, I think Lowrie would do fine as long as he stayed healthy, but thought this Japanese guy seem interesting. I'm sure he would gain a lot of interest from many different teams though.
He would still be better than Dice-k. Greinke is really not that bad of a pitcher, just never has pitched for a good team. If he was the 5th starter, that would make for a damn good rotation.
I'm not sure I'd want Beltran with all the injuries he's had so far in his career, but then again Ellsbury was injured constantly through last season. I kind of would rather we kept Ellsbury, assuming he's healthy, and focus on either a left/right fielder along the lines of Werth and Crawford.
I think V-Mart should be priority #1. Not sure I would really want Buck for next year. He had one decent year so far, who's to say that will continue. As for Salty, why are the Red Sox so high on him? I haven't seen him do much of anything to merit the starting job, let alone a platoon role for next year.
