  1. Laser Show! Ells Looked safe never tagged him
  2. MLB.com's Peter Gammons reports that the Red Sox have inquired about A's righty Rich Harden. Harden limited the Yankees to two runs in 5 1/3 innings Saturday in a 4-3 victory and has a 23/8 K/BB ratio in four starts since returning from the disabled list. The Red Sox are aiming to add starting pitching depth
  3. Ken Rosenthal said on the FOX Saturday Baseball broadcast that the Guardians have interest in B.J. Upton. Rosenthal also confirmed a report from ESPN's Buster Olney that Upton will -- with certainly -- be traded at this year's deadline. The news comes on the heels of Desmond Jennings' sudden callup. Upton, 26, has a disappointing .712 OPS in 94 games for the Rays this season but may finally peak with a change of scenery
  4. WIN! Go Redsox! Lineup is fine with me!
  5. Not me ,I would like to see just a nice bench bat not a starting role player
  6. B.J. Upton told Marc Topkin of the St. Petersburg Times that he has not been traded. That settles that. Upton was pulled from Friday's game in the eighth inning, but apparently it's just a coincidence. Desmond Jennings is indeed on his way from Triple-A Durham, but it looks like he'll be playing left field. Rumor was out that he got traded to the NATS
  7. http://fullcount.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/2011/07/23/josh-reddick-red-sox-proving-they-believe-in-me/ Thank you Tito!!!!
  8. If that happens the rays will finish ahead of them by the time this year is over
  9. Nice win for the sox over the King! Hope this site is working for the game tomorrow
  10. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Guardians and Pirates are among the teams that have inquired about the availability of Chris Iannetta. Colorado is willing to consider offers, likely because top prospect Wilin Rosario isn't far away from the majors. Iannetta, 28, is batting .224/.376/.412 with 10 homers and 36 RBI over 288 plate appearances this season. He will make $3.55 million next season with a $5 million club option or $250,000 buyout for 2013. The Red Sox have expressed interest in the past, but Morosi writes that they are satisfied with their catching situation at the moment.
  11. been doing it off and on last couple days
  12. According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, the Yankees called the Rays inquire about right-hander James Shields. Can't say Brian Cashman doesn't leave any stone unturned. While Shields' name has floated in rumors lately, the Yankees were told that he is not available. Olney presumes that the Rays wouldn't be willing to deal the 29-year-old right-hander to either the Yanks or Red Sox. And we can't blame them for that
  13. The Red Sox have had "exploratory" talks with the Royals regarding Jeff Francoeur. The Red Sox appear to be one of Carlos Beltran's main suitors, but if they decide to aim lower, Francoeur could be a part of a pretty decent right field platoon with Josh Reddick. It doesn't seem terribly likely, however.
  14. Ellsbury CF Pedroia 2B Gonzalez 1B Youkilis 3B Ortiz DH Crawford LF Reddick RF Saltalamacchia C Scutaro SS
  15. According to Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman, Hiroki Kuroda may be willing to waive his full no-trade clause "on a case-by-case basis." The word has been out that Kuroda would prefer not to be dealt to the East Coast, though it sounds like he could be amenable to it if the right situation arose. According to Heyman, the Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, Guardians and Rangers have all expressed at least some degree of interest in the Dodgers righty.
  16. According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, the Padres are most focused on moving Heath Bell, Chad Qualls, Aaron Harang and Ryan Ludwick ahead of next Sunday's non-waiver trade deadline. Noticeably absent from that list is Mike Adams. Although it's not a certainty he will not be dealt, a desperate team could be willing to offer San Diego the huge bounty they are believed to be seeking for their soon-to-be 33-year-old righty, it's looking more and more likely he'll still be with the Padres on August 1 while closer Heath Bell will be elsewhere. If he's still on your team's wire, now is the time to pounce.
  17. According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes has been narrowed down to five teams. That would be the Red Sox, Giants, Phillies, Braves and Rangers. Olney reports the Pirates and Guardians are "basically out of the conversation." The Giants have the greatest need, but all five clubs should have the pieces to land Beltran if they are serious about making a deal.
