  1. I didn't see that one coming....not...
  2. Napoli was become a pretty decent at first base considering he spent a lot of his career at catcher.
  3. I hope we get to see the laser show tonight.
  4. To be fair, he never really was known for his offense.
  5. I don't know. But,he has one of the least amounts of RBIs on the team.
  6. Who the f*** started that? People look very "special" doing it.
  7. Have you've tried to hit a pitch going 85 mph, never mind what top pitchers can throw? It's not as easy as it looks and that's not including the fact you don't know what's coming. You may have a clue. But, you don't know for sure.
  8. I learned last night never to get into a argument with User Name. He'll make you look silly.
  9. Do you think a part of the problem is, they aren't getting much production from the bench as they did last year? I mean, Mike carp is pretty much useless so far and Herrara is the most painful thing I've had to watch in a while.
  10. Who do you think are or is the problem(s)?
  11. I agree they have to play him. He needs to be playing every day. But, I think he should be playing in the Minors, not the Majors. Anyone else with the BA he has, would have been sent down in a hartbeat. The only reason why he is playing in the Majors is because they put all their eggs in two unknown mystery baskets. That being a unproven rookie and a guy who hasn’t played in two years.
  12. Yes, I am. I'm not about to give the keys to centerfield to this kid. I need to see him play more before I kiss the ground the kid walks on; like a lot of people seem to have been doing ever since he had that one good spring training.
  13. I would just like to see more consistency out of JBJ. Every time he looks like he might be turning into a decent player, he starts to play like crap again. Until I see him turn into a consistently good player, I will be skeptical of his ability to become a Major League player.
  14. He was more than just a speed guy. He got on base a lot and drove in a good share of runs.
  15. I know that spending a lot of money got the Red Sox in a lot of financial mess. They really are lucky that they had a team that is so mentally handicapped, to take all of that money and players off the Red Sox hands. But, I think in this situation, over spending on Ellsbury wouldn’t have been all too bad of a thing. At least we know he can produce in Boston. We didn’t know that when we signed Carl Crawford. Yes, it would have put a lot of money on the books for a while. But, there are a lot more positives than negatives, in my opinion.
  16. To keep him out of the hands of the Yankees, yes. If it was him going to any other team, no.
  17. And in true Red Sox stile, they let the Yankees take him from us.
  18. .500 is just impossible to get apparently.
  19. JBJ can't bunt to save his life it seems like.
  20. Now let's win this thing in the bottom of the 9th!
  21. I know it happens to everyone. That's just a part of baseball. But, when it happens to your team as often as its been happening to the Red Sox, its alarming.
  22. Why send the runner? Its not like, with this team, having a runner in scoring position matters.
