  1. Great game by Buchholz. Francona should let him finish it out.
  2. Yes he was, but he really failed the Sox at the end. He is not the same right now and I do not know why. He is giving up way to many HR's and not keeping the ball down.
  3. I do not like this move, but I understand why they did it. I would really like to see Reddick get more playing time in the bigs.
  4. I read this already.. So what is your point? I remember how bad Beckett sucked at the end last year. He has not been the same for a long time. IMO, Buchholz could be the best pitcher on the Sox at the end of the year. He is the only one so far that has looked good.
  5. McDonald is hitting the ball very well. That is a good reason to have him in the lineup. Van Every is up because they have an open spot.
  6. Good thing he is not going to be on here reading this. :harhar:
  7. I agree, but Beltre is doing just fine so far.
  8. Have you been watching any of the games this year?? Buchholz is the only one with really good stuff so far. I might be the only one on here, but I was pissed when they resigned Beckett without him finishing out this year. I don't think he is going to be the same anymore. I do know why, but he has not looked good for a long time now.
  9. And people on here want to send him somewhere for a bat. When this is all said and done, buchholz might be the Sox best pitcher this year.
  10. Hey, I was out of town this weekend and came back to see some changes. What happened to Reddick? Did anyone here anything on this transaction?
  11. And you think the Red jerseys are ugly?? Look at the picture a couple more times.
  12. It is not Buchholz fault his CF could not catch a line drive right at him.
  13. Francona said that the team would not go with a 13-man pitching staff. He also said that Wakefield is a starter and having a knuckleballer in the 'pen invites its own set of problems. With those words alone, Buchholz would be the one bounced from the rotation.
  14. With Dice-K being inserted back into the Sox rotation, Francona pretty much said in so little word that Clay would go back to Triple-A. Francona will not have a 13 man rotation and he will not put Wake in the BP; therefore, no room for Buchholz. This would really be a stupid move. First off, Buchholz is the only one in the rotation with less than a five ERA. I really hope this does not happen. It is time for Buchholz to get his chance. I do not know what else he needs to prove.
  15. Thank you. I really thought I read a two game sus. on him.
  16. Ok awesome, so off a scouting report or just by picking up what a pitchers tendencies where during a game, you never sad on a fastball or any pitch for that matter? When you know what is coming, you know and you sit on that pitch. I love that quote, but that is just not always the case.
  17. I agree 100%.
  18. The big question is; does Francona have the balls to sit Ortiz for good??? With the success with Mike Lowell it is time for him to step into the DH spot for good or until the Sox got out and get someone better. I like Francona a lot, but there are about 20 or 30% of his coaching that just drives me nuts. For instance, him not taking out Beckett last night and bring in a lefty to face Hamilton. But that is a whole other issue. I really hope he steps up to the plate on this issue and make a must need switch because there are a lot of outs right now in the Sox line up. How do you all feel on this subject?
  19. What is the record?
