  1. did anyone else recall beckett speaking out against a 6 man rotation before?
  2. ya, nothing wrong with throwing out ideas; well sometimes in a forum it can be :-D Personally I like him in the 2 spot, and eventhough its typical that a guy like Jaco is your leadoff man, I like D-Ped there.
  3. Ya thats kinda rough seeing Youk that low in the lineup. I understand it in the sense that he's good at getting on base, and kinda setting the table, but he's a run producer too, foremost even.
  4. 5.5 IP ??!!! I don't have any figures to compare that to, but that sounds awful...I'm not ssaying ship him out, but thats just a grimacing number
  5. I'm interested in seeing what Tito does with the lineup...or at lease how much longer he keeps Ortiz under the 5 spot.
  6. good point; I don't like seeing MDC or Masterson out there in the 5th inning so often. I'm sure it can be found somewhere the # of innings pitched by our relievers when Dice-K starts compared to other pitcers, first thought would be a fairly big difference.
  7. And a pop out to end the inning!! 3 down!
  8. read an article on Xbox Live being down today for maintenance, lame. ....wake.....you're killing me
  9. i hate the fact i cant stream the game from work, ALL FASTBALLS to Bay and nothing? what happened??
  10. great start for wake
  11. everyone's thoughts on Volstad for tonight? From what I've seen he has pretty good stuff. His numbers may not show it, but its there; especially his 12-6 curve, nasty
  12. man i wish Tito would put Jaco in the 9 hole, it really does make sense. Kottaras and green have been hitting the ball a little better in the last couple games....we'll see
  13. I know, I know. He's been dominant otherwise (bard), especially the 3 k's against Philly, and I love seeing homegrown players doing well up in the majors, shame on me
  14. ya i dont think Hanley gets too much of a reaction, most people wouldnt even know who he is in regards to the sox
  15. How about Dice-K in the 'pen? If things continue to go south for bard (crossing fingers it doesnt) he could be sent down, and Smoltz brought in, its at least an option
  16. a couple of you hit it right on; he had his shot last year. I love C-Buc, and wouldn't want to see him go, but he's gotta understand where his place is right now, and unfortunately it's in the waiting room. I do agree we need to give him some time up, maybe a double-dip, anything to show our commitment to him also.
  17. Agreed. Green isn't winning an all star ballot or anything, but he's performing well enough to start on this team. If platooning-in Lugo/Lowrie every now and then helps to work them in, then great. But why just GIVE Lugo back his position because of his ubsurd contract (2nd coming of Renteria?). I'd rather have a gamer like Green/Lowrie. Sorry if that turned into a rant, but Lugo makes me drink.
  18. I'm appreciating 8 over the Yanks for sure, especially because its put us in 1st
  19. awesome; If you've been going or have gone to a game or two, have you guys seen much with esposito or oscar tejada? I think I built tejada up too much in my head. but now it seems he's completely dropped off the map
  20. Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but who all is actually in a location where they can go to a game and watch some of the prospects? (portland/pawtuckett) I'm in Chicago, and don't really have that option and finding video of some of these guys can be difficult. I think I noticed a few members that showed a RI location, but anyone else?
  21. don't get me wrong, Im not complaining...I just get a little bit sad when i think about Hanely; but of course I'm well aware what the sox would be giving up if beckett and lowell werent there
  22. as he did there, ugh
  23. ya, I'd end the discussions too, but I'm talking more along the lines of letting him go to begin with....but then again, I love Beckett and Lowell. Just a tough situation all around
