    The Yanks are not the best team in the AL East until they prove it on the field...they have looked good on paper in the past and have seen it blow up.

    I know that he likes the idea of if he comes back doing a 1/2 season and I would love to see him back in a Sox uniform again...but only if he can be productive. If he can get himself in shape then I say go for it.

    DiceK no don't do it! They always include in contracts all these things guys can't do, they are going to have to include this crap as well before too long. The whole thing is pointless a pitcher only has so many pitches in his arm before the end. I don't know maybe if the US had shown up in the last one I would feel diferent.

    So what the Pawsox or Portland have a new guy. NO WAY this guy makes it any higher than this. This guy had one moment with SD a 11th inning walk off homer. He better enjoy that cause he is AAA for life!

    I would hope for 80 big ones the sox would not be just playing games. I would hope that they are focusing on what they THINK they need and not trying to trick the Yanks into a contract with a over rated player...and yes Burnett is very much overrated. Look for him to sign a big contract and then under perform until his next contract year.

    Tek is as good as gone and lets face the truth about what is really out there via FA...nothing. Give Brown & Kottaras the shot to battle it out in March. My vote is Kottaras
