  1. No, it means they were supposed to sign Tex BUT THEY DIDN'T!!!! O GAWD!!!! :( :( !!!!!!!!
  2. lol At least apply your ******** somewhere where its relevant.
  3. That's way too logical to be plausible.
  4. Their #1 priority was Teixeira, and he became too f***ing expensive. They were also all to aware that the Yankees would top any offer they made, right up until the Tex signing would've been a scourge to the Red Sox no matter what Tex's ultimate production was, though I'm sure that angers you, as it probably telegraphs a lack of effort to those that were cutting themselves all Christmas because the Red Sox wouldn't empty their whole f***ing bank account for one f***ing player. Just because its not your money doesn't mean that the team has to spend it with idiotic abandon like a 15 year old cheerleader with a stolen credit card. There are limits. Teixeira's price passed Boston's limit. Recognize this, lest you look like a bigger fool on the matter.
  5. Are free agent meetings unheard of enough to the point where its noteworthy here? As for your question, Teixeira wanted money. He and his agent dug in and wouldn't stand for a cent less than what they could possibly get. This meeting was Tex's way of hopefully softening up the Red Sox by taking Boras out of the equation, for one night. No, but you are botching your assessment of that situation about as bad as you possibly can.
  6. Not only that, but how much he would have helped us certainly factored into things on their end.
  7. IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN A HISTORICALLY OBSCENE SUM OF MONEY TO SIGN TEIXEIRA. A SUM OF MONEY THAT COULD HIJACK THE MONEY FLOW OF EVEN THE RICHEST TEAMS IN BASEBALL. DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE TEIXEIRA WANTED TO GO TO THE YANKEES, THE YANKEES BADLY WANTED TEIXEIRA, AND THE YANKEES COULD NOT AFFORD TO HAVE TEIXEIRA LAND WITH THE RED SOX. THEY WOULD HAVE BEATEN ANY OFFER THE RED SOX MADE, REASONABLE OR NOT, UNTIL WE'RE IN THE $350 MILLION RANGE. WHAT THE f*** IS SO f***ING TOUGH TO GRASP ABOUT THIS? f***ING DROP IT PLEASE.
  8. But he's not Teixeira!!!!! :(
  9. And if the Red Sox had not made a plethera of strategical errors last night, the Rays are likely now playing just to not lose ground. You can only blame the GM for so much.
  10. His offseason was a failure? Ooooh, yeah, because he didn't pay $400 million for Teixeira. Forgot about that.
  11. Yay for the sarcasm detector.
  12. Theo should have seen that coming. He failed to act in case of midseason injury and player dissatisfaction/ineffectiveness. Tool of a GM he is.
  13. But he included RBI's, so its moot. He also failed to process 77 PA's as a tiny sample size.
  14. Wait, what? What was the context of this?
  15. Really, who cares what he has to say? It won't be anything of interest, nor anything that will make him seem like less of a cheater. In my mind, this is a past story, not a present one.
