    Again - this investigation is because Congress thinks that Tejada lied under oath. I think they will not care if someone (Pettitte/Roberts) says ' Yes I am on the list and I did HGH'.

While I think that we do have bigger issues at Capital Hills - I see why Congress is so serious with this - it sends a wrong message to the citizens about our justice system if athletes can get away with lying. So - uh Mr. Clemens - still gonna testify to Congress under oath as you said in that news conference- right?

    I might have said it before that Yankees getting Santana for Hughes is best outcome for me. Second best outcome is Red Sox getting him without giving up Ellsbury/Buchholz. If not - I will be fine if he goes to the Mets/stays with twins and gets a contract extension. I do not want him to stay with the twins this year and become a free agent - then the Yankess will scoop him up next year without giving up a prospect.

    Disagree - that's why we have Kevin Cash who defensively is as good if not better than Belli. Now - if we just have to waste a roaster spot instead of getting a real second catcher - why not just promote Cash from AAA? Both Dougie or Cash will hardly reach base anyway.

    I did not realize you would take me literally and get the stats - but I was just trying to make a point that he is dead slow. Yeah - we have Papi and Manny(with or without helmets) or Youk for that matter but I have never seen anyone run as slow as Dougie.

    I have a baseball question - I honestly do not know the answer. I will appreciate if someone can tell me. Let's say that Mirabelli is batting 9th and Ellsbury is batting 1st. If Belli gets on 2nd base and Jacoby on 1st base - and then Pedroia at the plate gets a hit - is it OK for Jacoby to overtake Belli to reach home plate? Or Jacoby will have to wait untill Belli touches plate which might take eternity? May be off topic - but my baseball technical knowledge is poor and can use some enrichment from the gurus here.

    I could not have said it better - our legal system is royally f***ed up. I understand why - because the lawyers will have to make millions with every loophole of the justice system that they can exploit. Where I have a real problem is with public perception. In the court of public opinion - we start just by deciding someone is guilty or not and try to allign the facts so as to support our supposition. If Jeter is implicated in this - the Yankee fans will just make a decision that he could not have done this and spin the facts to support his innocense. And nothing against Yankee fans - Red Sox fans will probably do the same with Papi. Very few people will actually look in the fact and think 'Well I really love this dude - but looks like he is screwed'.
