    It sounds like Lowell, Clement, Tavares, and Hansen would get it done. Then the Rockies eat half of the Helton contract, I would absolutley do this, especialy because we could by him out the sixth year.

Both sides are in virtual agreement on the dollars, with the Rockies likely responsible for slightly less than half of Helton's remaining six-year, $90.1 million guaranteed contract.(espn.com) If thats the deal thats cool as long as ellsbury and bucholz aren't involed

    The Denver Post reported on its Web site that the Rockies could be interested in a pair of pitching prospects, reliever Manny Delcarmen, 24, and 2005 first-round pick Craig Hansen. The Rocky Mountain News reported that the Red Sox proposed sending third baseman Mike Lowell and right-hander Julian Tavarez. ESPN.com reported that Sox veteran pitcher Matt Clement would have to be included. FoxSports.com identified Triple-A center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury as a target of the Rockies.(red sox .com) I don't see them moving Ellsbury for an aging, past his prime Todd Helton. I could see that killing the proposed trade.

    It wouldn't have been a bad idea to bring Loretta back, how do you know it was unluckiness and him getting robbed? I'm willing to give him a chance too, but how do you know he wont get "robbed" again this year? Maybe he's not as good as we all think, he didn't prove himself to be a no worry last year, insurance is always a good thing.

    I think if the twis are struggling by the trade deadline they'll try and get as much for Nathan as they can. As for the M&M boys you would have to think they'll keep both of them, But if they couldn't I'd bet they keep Mauer. I don't see Johan going anywhere.

    Lets be honest? The f***ing jerk can't even run around the bases , he can't play left field, he throws teamates under the bus and he lets his best friend go to jail on his behalf. I don't even wish that on the yankees. We don't need to sell anymore tickets , the only thing he is at this point is a crybabay and the only thing he has to hold on to is a homerun record. And I for one will never acknowledge him as that. The sox signing him would be the dumbest thing I've seen since this post.

    Thats pretty good and I wouldn't mind that but more than likely it will be youk 2nd drew 5th lowell 6th and crisp and pedoia likley flip. I do like your lineup better though. Your dead on wth the Manny thing he's never had a great bat behind before and he's always been consistent.

    What versatility does Erstad bring that Hinskie doesn't, Thier both average hitters. Hinske is not the best but he is better than Erstad and can play more positions and he is younger. Hinske is the better option off the bench.
