  1. I forgot that Daisuke isn't new to the AL also. I told you before, look at his peripheral stats, and then tell me if you think they typically go with 5 era pitchers.
  2. What? Why bring this here?
  3. That's pretty crazy throwing 95 and pitching to contact. How many Walks has he issued?
  4. Just checked in, please, please go on a power tear Papi.
  5. A certain Ex-Sox pitcher has a no-no through 6
  6. Look at his peripheral stats, then put your foot in your mouth.
  7. I don't have NESN or MLB.TV, but i do have the Audio version, It's how i keep track of almost all the Sox games. While O'brein isn't that bad, I do miss getting my hopes everytime there was a fly ball.
  8. They already are hitting back to back, aside from the first inning. The batting order is pretty much how i wanted it to be in Kilo's thread. If Lugo has 33 RBIs now, how many will he have when his OBP isnt 290? Give him time says I.
  9. Power first basemen are a dime a dozen. Catchers right now are like Cadillacs, and depending on Kottaras, we may have a glaring need for one. Theres no realson to give up a Ellsbury/Bowden for a first basemen IMHO.
  10. In regard to Tavarez, I wouldnt put much stock in a .37 difference in ERA.
  11. Dougie's going deep. Heard it here first. We really should be able to take the series, and if we do...............
  12. I always loved Rowand when he was with the Chi Sox, I think the Nation would see a lot of Trot in him too. If the Phillies are out, he'd be a realistic grab.
  13. What about Jeff Clement? The Mariners won't be needing him anytime soon with Johjima (sp) and he has a lot of potential. Here in Iowa I recall, he broke the national HR record. He's struggling as of late, and probably won't be ready for the Majors until 2009 but I think he'd would be cheaper then Salty. Any thoughts?
  14. kaitlynn something?
  15. Is the leadoff spot really that important? Assuming you played everyday you'd only have 162 guarenteed at-bats leading off. After that no one knows who leads off. I guess the leadoff hitter could help "set the tempo" for a game but personally, I think it's weighed with to much importance
  16. Also, is there anything in the books about distracting the players? I don't think you could physically interfere with them, but yelling "Mine" seems a lot like making a hard slide or peeking.
  17. Don't be Naive, you'd see it, it would just be acceptable because he was our own. Look at Pedro, what do you think of him? I think he's hilarious, and a truly original player. If he was a Yankee i'd think he was a complete *******, etc. A-rod has always had that kind of personality, with the Rangers, Mariners, Yanks, and whereever he is next year. His treatment last year may have exacerbated his behavior but i doubt it. He's to arrogant to really care.
  18. Rewatching a lot of the 2004 ALCS, he seems to have very poor sportsmanship. I know that it's not really a important trait anymore but winning or losing he never seemed very respectful. It's understandable with a rookie, or a below average player who makes a great play, but with someone of the caliber A-rod is you'd think he'd be through that phase.
  19. I'd put Youk 5th, and Dudders 2nd. Manny needs more protection then Drew is giving, and then Lowell can give some to Youkilis. Lugo Pedroia Ortiz Manny Youk Lowell Tek Drew Crisp 2-7 would be ridiculous, and, Drew should get closer to his career numbers, and when they do he can move back up the order.
  20. Just saw the butt scratcher thread. Thank you, from all of us.
  21. So Peters got banned? I know he was stupid but was there something else? Can i ask?
