  1. Right you are. The point is that if the Royals had the best team chemistry in the world with their set of players, it would probably still result in a fifth place finish. Team Chemistry is the icing on the cake, it is not the definition of a championship team.
  2. It looks like there's only one person that didn't know what "The Onion" is/that it's satire, and maybe only because he didn't notice the website.
  3. There's a lot in your post I'd like to talk about, but this struck me particular (probably since it was right near the top.) It has to be remembered that this team lost over 100 games last season, so that kind of improvement would be nothing to sneeze at. Being said, I don't see them as much of a spoiler. Sox and Guardians might be scrappy enough against each other for them to have to keep an eye on KC, but I think they'll only be real concerns for the bottom three division spots.
  4. Ok, I'll buy your argument as soon as you show me the pertinent statistics that suggest chemistry is worth a damn or has any impact on the game played at all.
  5. I'm pretty sure I've had nightmares where D-Train is pitching for the MFYs in the WS
  6. And yet people (coughcoughESPNcough) still seem to think that the Jays are gonna take it away. I can understand liking the Jays in January before the Sox had a CF, much bullpen depth, a SS, or any bench depth, or a GM, yet now that people have had time to calm down over their offensive upgrades, BJ Ryan, and now that Burnett is injured, a lot are still picking Sox for 3rd. Madness, I tells ya
  7. And may the Mets find him well. Although I have a suspicion that Delgado is going to be the true next Mo Vaughn, at least as far as the Mets are concerned. Ortiz may turn into Mo Vaughn III, but not and probably not even as far away as through 07.
  8. I still haven't heard an explanation that I believe from anyone as to why they think the Blue Jays will end up with second place/AL wild card
