  1. Sorry to double post but, Huff may have had his struggles this year, but hes been having his struggles in the middle of the worst lineup in baseball, imagine him in the best lineup in baseball? He would have ample protection with ortiz behind him.
  2. Ortiz? and if the deal sends us Huff then he is a legitimate 3 hitter and cameron is no slouch either. He hit 30 home runs last year. The lineup will still be pretty potent.
  3. Not for sure yet, but hopefully, I have to say i think the team has a better chance in the future if we aren't stuck with his massive contract.
  4. Could be big. They're obviously not giving him a breather.
  5. I think they have to deal manny, cause after this season he gets 10-5 protection and the sox don't want his contract. I bet something gets done to send him out.
  6. I still think it could get done, i take things from espn with a grain of salt. I think the sox just want to trade ramierez too badly.
  7. I wouldn't, sometimes you have to deal some young arms in exchange for vets. I would deal them if it got me huff cameron and heilman. And guy who posted the dead deal thing, its not dead, thats old, im hearing on the radio right now that the money is agreed apon and the players need to be hammered out between the mets and sox and i think that would make it done if im understanding it right. I think this deal could get done because the sox want it done badly.
  8. Yes, very good point. Off the topic of the whole manny deal, I wanna know why Delcarmen wasn't used last night. Timlin has a sore arm and is among the league leaders in appearances, why not pitch Delcarmen? But yeah about manny, the only team that will be able to take him on is a major market team with a lot of money because the sox won't and shouldn't have to pay for him. I personally like the deal because i love huff and cameron, and i don't like shoppach and manny. I think this deal has the potential to have as positive an impact as the nomar deal last year provided we don't have to give up Delcarmen, Pedroia, or Hanley to get it done. I'd add papelbon to that list too, I really don't want to part with him. The sox have other plus prospects they could put in a deal that would get it done and won't really affect the sox, part of having a good farm system is using it to acquire good major league players through trade. I like the trade as is, a lot.
  9. Johnny wont be in boston next season. Manny will be i don't know what made you bring up manny, but johnny is gone.
  10. i think schilling will most likely be the everyday second basemen for the sox next year. Either him or Dale Sveun.
  11. Arroyo does throw 90 plus. If he only had to throw for one inning he would be throwing 90 consistently.
