  1. Hey SoxFOC, Just want to say that even though I didn't participate in your giveaway it is really an extremely generous and selfless thing to do and think you're quite a great person to be offering all this. Thanks for being one of the good guys. RS911
  2. Must be off the 'roids...Lol
  3. Sara, I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read your response. That was freakin' hilarious! RSR...while he does play all those positions, he doesn't play any one of them very well! I'm with Sara, dump his fatass!
  4. Anyone have any thoughts on what the Sox should do with Millar? Even though he's batting at .275 (which is average) he has only 4 HR's and 30 something RBI. REcently it seems every time he's up with risp he kills the inning by popping or fouling out. Should the Sox keep him or open up his spot and give Youk, Olerud, and Petagine a chance to shine? My feeling is if it wasn't going to hurt the clubhouse atmosphere so much they should cut their losses and send him packing.
  5. That was sweet to see Fenwayfrank!
  6. Gotta love this Sox 'pen! Horrid!! Do the Sox relievers lead the league in inherited runners scoring?
  7. If you think they have the slightest chance of doing that then you're far less bright that I originally thought. I'm a Sox fan, but I'm also a realist and don't have my head shoved up my ass so far that I can't make a rational statement, which is alot more than what I can say for a few people here. And Riversideslugger I made that decision in the beginning of the season when there was no Pedro / Schilling pitching 1 & 2 in the rotation. Hmmm...Pedro gone, last year 227K's, 2003 206K's, that's an awful lot more outs you're putting into the hands of your fielders. That's also not accounting for Schilling's 203K's last year! Still wondering why the defense looks like the bad news bears at times this season?
  8. Wake up Stevece! As much as I'd like to see them in the playoffs there's still a long 2 months left in the regular season and if they continue to play the way they have recently it won't be long before they're out of first place and out of the wild card. I personally don't feel this team is as good now as last years team was, especially with the loss of Trot Nixon. We'll see what happens.
  9. I'm well aware of that HE. What I was referring to was Ray10's assumption here that the Sox are a lock to make the playoffs. I think it's a bit premature to think that, that's all. Especially the way Arroyo has pitched tonight..Lol. Follow me now Papi? Sorry for the confusion.
  10. You're making a bit of a premature prediction aren't ya Ray? As of right now the AL East isn't going to get the Wildcard slot.
  11. I'd like to be entered as well. I'd put the opener to good use in case I needed to open a can of whoop ass on a Yankee fan. Just kidding...about the whoop ass that is.
  12. I think Well's has been great. Take away the couple bad starts in the beginning of the season and his ERA would be somewhere around 3. Solid pitcher, gives his all every time he steps on the mound and doesn't take any sh*t from the umps...Lol. Read his book a couple years ago as well, he's a very cool, down to earth, average joe type of guy which I liked about him. Probably would be the top of my list of any player I'd love to hang out with and have a couple beers.
  13. I hope he remembers to bring his walker with skates attached!
  14. Where's Youk when you need him...Oh yea, they have Cora with the big team instead. I really don't care for Francona at all!
  15. Hunter Wendelstedt screwed the Sox!
  16. Wow...Much appreciated Tek4pres! I'm impressed...not with Bellhorns stats that is...Lol Thanks for the info!
  17. Good riddance, he can take his 4 HR's and 32 RBI with him!
  18. I hate to pile onto the "I can't stand Bellhorn" thread but seriously, how many times has Bellhorn K'd with risp and less than 2 out this year? I'm hope some crackerjack statistician can come up with that stat.
  19. Thanks for the welcome SfiT, That sounds like a logical explanation for the hostility. Is there anything better than battling for first place with a four game weekend series against the dreaded Yanks in Boston?
  20. Hey all, Just found this place doing a google search for Sox messageboards and figured I'd give it a whirl. I have to say though that after perusing this site for a short time there does seem to be alot of hostility in alot of the threads. Not sure how much I dig that. Anyway, hope to be a good contributor here and learn a bit more about my fave team. RS911
