  1. Just got a gift on that call ball!
  2. Gordon warming for the 8th. Hopefully the Sox will be able to get to him for a couple.
  3. The way he's been pitching I think RJ will be out to pitch the 8th.
  4. Sure would be ashame if the Sox couldn't come back to waste just an incredible outing by Wake. If he strikes out the rest of the Yanks he has the new record of 21! Lol.
  5. Our version of the utility player.
  6. Another nice fielding play by the liability named Millar!
  7. It would be comical seeing him get a Manny linedrive in the throat! Ahhh...I shouldn't wish that upon anyone but RJ sure is acting like a jackass today.
  8. Where do you get these game notes Yankeessuck? Very informative! Thanks.
  9. Makes sense to rest his back as well as give him a day off I suppose. Let's hope they don't need him in the late innings cause they have an enormous lead. Lol.
  10. Is he injured or are they just giving him a rest? He's been pounding left handed pitching all season so I don't think that's the reason he's out.
  11. Kinda like last night when Well's was getting squeezed prior to A-Rod hitting a dinger?
  12. He's been so pro Yankee for years that I've hated him since 2000!! All we're missing is his jacka/s/s sidekick Buck!
  13. Are there any Yanks messageboards such as this? Did a google search but didn't come up with much that was decent.
  14. Did anyone see this? Frede was so excited when he was asking Ortiz a question during the post game interview that he spit right in Papi's eye! Ortiz just looked at him like WFT and wiped the spit out of his eye. I wish I was watching on my DVR cablebox so I could've rewound and recorded it. Just thought I'd share and see if anyone else caught it.
  15. Not for nothing but Tek didn't catch Wakefields complete game last night, Mirabelli caught as he always does with Wakefield.
  16. Congrats on your first trip to Boston BoSox, it's nice to hear of the wonderful time you had!! I'm a pretty frequent visitor to Montreal as that is one of my favorite cities and you're right when you say they both do have alot in common. I would compare Sox fans to the fans of the Habs. Both incredibly knowledgeable as well as passionate about their teams. I went to game 6 of the hockey playoffs in 2004 at the Bell Centre and the difference in seeing a Bruins game and a Habs game live is amazing! Anyway, glad you had a nice time here in Beantown.
  17. That's why they would need to get another big bat in his place.
  18. Manny's only made 24 errors because they don't count very catchable balls that Manny never attempts to get to as errors! BTW which part of "If he could remain healthy" didn't you understand? Another player that would be an alternative Griffey Jr. I'm finished dealing with children on this board! See ya Manny!
  19. Ooohh..you are a big boy at 19 years old...Wow, you're just a fountain of life experience aren't you. Let's just say I'm in my 30's Hammer so I have no reason to hide anything from my profile. Lol. Let me see...One other player that if he could remain healthy could be a much better defensive fielder and still a huge threat at the plate would be Magglio Ordonez. BTW, it may be a jack ass statement to someone as narrow-minded as yourself but it's still someone's legit opinion. Just because Manny's got one of the greatest bats of all time doesn't make him indispensable, remember a couple pitchers named Clemens or Martinez?
  20. I'm no mathematician but isn't that only an average of a little above 8 homers a year if 1 every 19 games?
  21. Namecalling huh Hammer, you're real mature I see. Isn't it past your bedtime now little boy? As for Manny, I'm sick of his drama and am I not entitled to an opinion? He's a well below average fielder who with that alone has cost the Sox some games and will continue to do so especially in larger stadiums. He could barely hit a beachball for the last month and he's just not into it. Sure the Sox would miss his bat but that's why I say try to get someone somewhat comparable. So keep up the name calling Hammer and you can continue to show this board exactly who you are. :harhar:
  22. His defense has really picked up as well huh. I sincerely hope they get rid of his lazy ass this off season and are able to attain something decent in return.
